Dotster, you may have mentioned it but I’m old and I forget - whereabouts are you from? I don’t need an address or even a city, if you’re inclined to be private, but a state/area of the country would be nice. Because I’m nosey.
rose - I luuuuuurve the chorus duds!! Red and sparkley are two of my favorite things. Well, OK, I’m not a huge fan of sparkley, but I do love red. And I love to sing. I should probably look to see if there’s a chorus of some sort around here.
I’m a little stiff this morning from my exertions last night. I’m talking about the painting, you pervs!!!
And I’m going to wait till it’s just a bit lighter out before I go back to priming. FCD overdid it and he was really hurting - plus he was helping to paint after his PT - he really shoulda been relaxing, but you can’t tell him anything! I do think he’ll chill today. He’s still sleeping, which is good, and he really hates to paint. He was only in there because he felt guilty, even tho I told him to go away (in the nicest words possible) He’s such a guy!
So I’ll go back to paint in a bit. I’ve also got to go into the attic and get the roll of fabric that I intend to use for the drapes and bedcover - I hope the colors go with the wall. If the green is just a bit too blue, it won’t work. Here’s hoping… Oh, and I ordered drapes for the soon-to-be-former-red-room. The carpet will stay red a bit longer - we’ll carpet all three bedrooms at the same time, so it’ll be a while. But the red room will become the blue room. The drapes are patterned, but the predominant color is blue. Once they arrive, we’ll use them to select the wall color. And I’ll probably go with solid navy for the bedspread - we shall see. But that’s the next room. Gotta finish the green-formerly-yellow room.
I took some “before” pics for comparison. When I take the “after” pics, I’ll post them all for your amusement and amazement. Because I know many of you live vicariously through me. That’s OK, I don’t mind.
And welcome to the lair of the Cool Kids, rubymermaid! I noticed your post but missed the opportunity to say hi earlier. So HI!
Rue - I hope you’re keeping a private notebook of all the, um, characters you encounter at work. I see a best-seller with an option on a mini-series there! Incidentally, I think I told you eons ago, prolly in email, that my youngest sis used to work as a vet’s assistant when she dropped out of college 20-some years ago. She wasn’t motivated enough to pursue a degree, so when the old guy who hired her retired, she couldn’t find another job with experience only, and she went into bartending. Fast forward to a few weeks ago - she’s got a new foundling dog - a Pom. When she took it to her vet for check and shots and stuff, she did the stuff the vet’s assistant would normally do, and the vet asked her if she wanted a job. She’s not looking for full-time work, but she put in an app and she may get called when then need a fill-in or something. And even tho you don’t know my sister and probably don’t care about this story, I had to share anyway.
