So I finally managed to make it over and sign up here, and I figured that there would be no better way to spend a first post than to start a nice, self-promoting, egotistical thread of my very own. Yay!

So I’m taking this opportunity to announce that my birthday was on Friday. But this wasn’t just any birthday, oh no. This was the birthday, on which I became a full adult member of society. That’s right, I’m 18. God help us all.

So what does being 18 entail? Well, I can finally do all that wild and crazy stuff that I’ve been longing to do for years and years. Finally, I can buy por…errr, I mean, vote! And let’s not forget that one who is 18 can easily purchase cigare…I mean, lottery tickets! And thank God I’m finally old enough to…uhhh…register for the draft! Yeah, that’s right! Draft registry, huzzah!

But another benefit of being eighteen, which I’m not even going to sidestep, is that I can finally be considered an adult right here on the boards. And that means that I can finally flirt with all those fine-lookin Doperettes that I’ve had boyish crushes on for so long. Nothing stands in my way any longer! (Except my lack of flirting skills, which I hope to work on).

So step right up, ladies! Who wants to be the first to corrupt an impressionable young bo…I mean, man!

Congratulations. I was the youngest in my graduating class last year, meaning that I was 17 when we graduated… so no riotous partying for me then. Oh no. I had to make do with sitting in a park in downtown Helsinki and drinking lukewarm beer half-secretly. :frowning:

Of course, I made up for it later. :slight_smile:

So anyway. Congratulations again. Don’t spend all your money on those lottery tickets…
