Looking for a movie quote that ends with "..... and a million other people that you couldn't care less about"

Not looking to start a political discussion, but to answer the question “you’re an old, straight, white guy so what do you care if Trump gets back in office? why do you fight?” somewhere in the back recesses of my brain there’s a movie quote that is basically “I fight for my gay sister, my trans nephew, my LGBTQ and minority friends, and a million other people that you couldn’t give a shit about”.

I have this fuzzy image of it being Tom Cruise saying it, and I keep wanting to tell myself it’s from A Few Good Men, but I can’t “place” it, and it’s starting to get kinda irritating at this point. Thanks for any help.

Sorry, I have no idea.
But, it reminds me of this great quote from the movie K2:

Taylor Brooks : I didn’t make the world the way it is, Harold. I’m just trying to get through it, as fast and as clean as possible.

Harold : [after staring straight at him for 5 seconds] We ALL make the world the way it is.

A Few Good Men was released in 1992, so there’s no way that quote is from that movie.

Right. The quote itself has nothing to do with Trump. Or anything current day. I’m trying to remember a random quote that has that last clause to it. Maybe it was on TV.

My mistake. I misread your post. I thought the Trump bit was included in the movie you were looking for.

I can’t help you with the quote you are looking for, but there is a similar sentiment in “A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they will never sit,” which Google tells me is “a Greek proverb” without attribution, which usually means Abraham Lincoln said it first.

Was it THE DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN, with Eddie Murphy?

Holy shit, that’s it!!! “I did it for them and them and Mickey Juba, who you couldn’t give a shit about”. Thanks!
