A while back, I bought one of those “cascading” showerheads. I like it alot. I used to have one of those detachable showerheads that you can use to spray all over, and has the different settings. Well, I never detached it or used the other settings, so I got the cascade one cause I liked the larger water stream.
Well, every so often, my mother comes to visit. She goes banannas that I don’t have the detachable kind of showerhead. Says she can’t feel clean.
So, I’m wondering if anyone makes a showerhead that does both?
The cascade one like I have is kinda like this:

The detachable ones are of this variety:

Can anyone help? Doesn’t have to be Waterpik brand…
Why not just buy any ol’brand of detachable shower head, and attach it to your cascade? All of our bathrooms have both. There is a lever you use to switch from one to the other…seems like an easy fix, and they are very easy to install.
I’d be weirded out if my mother demanded to use a cascading detachable showerhead.
Well, she doesn’t have any interest in the cascading showerhead. She just wants the detachable kind. But I still like the cascading kind, so I was hoping that both could be combined into one unit.
Phlosphr , can you elaborate on your idea? I’m not sure how such a thing would work, other than completely swapping the units out depending on who was using the shower…
The kind I bought is the best of both worlds. The one head that stays in place isn’t as wide as the cascading variety in your picture–it is comparable to the circumference of a detachable shower head. BUT the set also came with a separate detachable head with its own little holder you mount to the wall. That way you can be getting sprayed by two overhead shower heads at once, or hold the one and continue to have the other spray you from above. You can turn a valve to turn off the stationary overhead spray and just use the hand-held, but I like using them both at the same time. I’m sure it works great for showering with a “friend” as well.
I should mention that I bought it at Lowe’s for something like $24–cheaper than most of the Water Pik simple detachable models–and the brand name on it is Peerless. It is also a shiny “silver metal” color, as opposed to white, if that helps.
