30 years ago I bought a nice brush cutter from Sears. The blade was a nice 10 inch blade that could cut through a 3 inch sapling like butter. The shaft that runs between the motor and the blade was what they call a “straight shaft”. Worked great, worked hard for 30 years. Died last spring. 
Apparently someone, somewhere, must have cut the legs off a small child or a puppy because you can’t buy that style any longer. All I can find in any supply store are little bitty weed whackers where you can replace the string attachment with a 5 or 6 inch blade. Won’t cut anything over half an inch thick. :mad:
Does anyone have a favorite brush cutter that they could recommend? Let’s keep it under $500. please.
