Looking for the title of a song...

I don’t know anything about it, other than it was played at either Cleveland Indians or Colorado Rockies games this past post-season.

All I really know is that it made the crowd go “OOH!” then “AH!” – not long ooohs and ahhhs, but a quick rhytmic OOH, then AH.

God, I’m not making any sense. Hopefully someone knows what I’m talking about.

Singer: <words to chorus, line 1>
Crowd: OOH…AH
Singer: <words to chorus, line 2>
Crowd: OOH…AH

And so on…

Is it Jim Croce’s The Faces I’ve Been?

That’s the sound of the men, working on the chain gang
Oh…Ah

Let me listen to that Croce song and I’ll post back.

It’s the same sharp OOH, AH as in the chain gang song…

My first thought was Back on the Chain Gang, the Pretenders

Not the Gary Glitter…

David Bowie’s “Suffragette City”?

Oldie? Five O’Clock World/The Vogues?

The theme from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly?

I think I recall hearing this on football (i.e. soccer) matches broadcast on radio in the UK. Is it “Hey Baby”?

That’s the one which immediately sprang to my mind. The aural equivalent of waterboarding.

That’s it! Thank you very much!

You’re welcome - I just wish I didn’t have it stuck in my head now!
