I’m making a bunch of scale model cubicles for an office setting for a tabletop war game. (Other rooms too, but only the cubes are of interest for this part). This is pretty much all 1/8 inch thick walls 1.5 inches high and 3D printed in PETG. As part of how I want to make it look more real, I’d love actual fabric material on the walls of the cubes instead of just spraying them all gray or something. So the plan was to spray them in a gray primer to give the adhesive something better to hold on to other than bare plastic and then flock. Does anyone have a good source of material, maybe a kit? Also, I know there’s going to be plenty of videos and such online but any tips?
I used this kit to do the inside of a jewelry box a couple years ago. Dead simple.
I used a similar kit for the same purpose many years back. I used to make jewelry boxes also. Small and band sawed into heart and other shapes.
My kit had more of a pump type applicator for the flock material. My applicator was like this.
