I only saw a couple of short parts of this movie on a TV while I was working in my hotel room. I’m not even sure if it can be called a “romantic” comedy. It wasn’t any kind of great movie - I doubt I would have gone to see it in a theater - but it had a couple of very funny scenes. The kind of scenes like in “Something About Mary” where you’re a little ashamed of yourself for laughing at such classless humor. I couldn’t name any of the actors in it, either.
Here’s the premise, from the short parts I saw:
A guy who is a playwrite or director is living with a vain, bitchy actress who is pressuring him to marry her. They have a big fight and she pretends to throw the really expensive diamond earrings he gave her into the sea. They break up, but she refuses to move out of the house and files a palimony suit against him. So they continue to live together, pulling all kinds of madcap antics to drive each other mad.
Anybody recognise this?
