Well done. Not the millionth post, but much better than my attempted “Boobs.” post. In retrospect, I should have gone with “Boobies.” as it is much more mundane. I’d rank them thusly:
- Boobies.
- BONER
- Boobs.
The silver color detracts slightly from your score.

Okay, gang. I have pieced together from the various threads dealing with the monster event, all the captured times that got posted. Please note that the times may appear out of sync, but I think that’s because of the differing time zones of the participants.
I chose not to “correct” the times but just to put them in post# order and let you figure what times were “correct.”

Things got crazy after 999,989 and I think most everybody was trying to be the winner as opposed to capturing post times. The response was especially weak in those few minutes.
But a great time was had by all.

In my post (number 1,000,001 - I’ll never live that down) I stated that I wanted to be the 999,999th poster. So, who was it?
Fun times! The hamsters worked overtime for us today.
So far, Blonde, I don’t know any of the missing numbers in that list above. They were the only ones posted. There ought to be a way to use the postid numbers to track down the missing posts to MPSIMS, but I believe that’s a lot of detective work, since the postid numbers aren’t tied to specific forums. Or at least if they are, I don’t know the code for it.
Thanks, Zeldar - I think it is quite funny that our winner, Padeye, won from posting a rather long technical answer related to the IT issues involved about rolling from 999,999 to 1,000,000 - without realizing the subject at hand. Hats off to him!
That was like watching the ball in Times Square drop, only no Dick Clark and equally pointless.
Since I went to bed when there was only a couple of hundred posts to go (I’m GMT +12), I figured the one million mark would be long gone before I got to work today.
I was surprised, therefore, to see the post count at 999,976 when I logged on. After a two or three minute search for threads I was interested in, I replied to one, noted the counter at 999,986, so quickly found another thread, thinking that I’d be pretty close.
When I next looked at the main board, it read 1,000,002 and there were two threads above the one I’d just posted in; I was pretty certain that I’d fluked it, but obviously the two top threads contained more than one recent post.
Please don’t go searching for the 999,999th post - that way I remain the last recognisable poster before one million!
Yeah, like that’s gonna be some sort of consolation…
But I agree - Padeye gets extra kudos for doing it inadvertently! 
Where is Padeye? He’s gotta come and receive his complementary drink.
