Well, I can’t go to the Friday night event, but I will try to go to the Saturday picnic/potluck.

For those of you that have doubts: my fiancée (who doesn’t post on the SDMB) came with me to the first LA SDMB gathering, and said “These people are actually quite normal.” So there!

The fiancé and I are in for Friday night. 
A slight change of plans for the weekend festivities.
Friday night is still gonna go as planned, at Cafe Tu Tu Tango,in Orange, at the Block at 7ish.
Saturday’s event will be cancelled.
Its just not gonna work out logistically, too many people have prior committments.
Plus, Melin and Highlander are are busy like bees who have gotten into honey stashes filled with super powered speed honey.
Did you know kids need to be fed everyday? Yeah, I was surprised as well.
Anyway, just letting everyone know that the party on Saturday has been postponed to later in the summer. When people’s schedules will allow for a fun gathering; right now its just not feasible.
Anyone have a suggestion for a good Saturday or Sunday to have the patio party? If so, please it or email it out.
In any case, Friday night, all warm blooded SoCal members should make it out to Orange County to have a good time.

Taking a page out of everyone else’s play book, I am gonna call tomorrow night and make a reservation under the name Cecil Adams. Actually, this place doesn’t take reservations, but they will put your name down and let you in earlier if you are listed. They just don’t call them reservations. I don’t make the rules, but I will call and set a table for ten. If anyone else is planning on coming, let me know, and I will add ya to the list. If you don’t find out til Friday at 6:30. Well come on by anyway, it will be fun.

I don’t know. I suppose outside might be nice for a party of our size, I guess it depends on where the restaraunt decides to seat us.
Which would you suggest? I have never been there, don’t really know the layout. I didn’t even know there was an outside.

I’ve never been inside. I’d assume they can push some tables together for us outside. I like outside because it’s good for watching grrls… I mean, “observing the social customs of humans of the region.” Besides, on the cinema side there is often live entertainment (buskers) of some sort.
