Thanks for updating. Continuing to keep you both in my thoughts.
Just in case you haven’t had time to check. Jaundice means your skin and the whites of your eyes are turning yellow. Bilirubin is a pigment found in bile and created when the liver breaks down hemoglobin. Everyone has a little in their blood as a natural thing. If your bilirubin level rises high enough, you’ll show jaundice. But if they test, they can see a rise before it’s noticable as jaundice.
Thanks for the update, Kemi. Love and prayers to you and Jaceson.
Dear heavens, I thought I’d already updated this thread. I’m truly losing it in my old age. So, I’m sorry for the delay and without further ado, I have SUPER DUPER GREAT news to report…
There is NO aneurysm!!
It seems that the hospital we’ve been taking him to all this time really is negligent, at best. We’ve now had two out of three CT scans that say he’s aneurysm-free. We are so relieved, happy and blessed. I honestly believe if it hadn’t been for all the love, support and well wishes / good thoughts / prayers that we’ve received, that we’d have never gotten through this in one piece. Therefore, I’ll just give my humble thanks and say, once more, that I love you guys.
Other than all that, he’s doing so much better and he’s finally on a real schedule. I’ve turned into his drill sergeant, making sure he takes enough of his Lactulose, drink all his water daily, eat right and monitor his medication. I hate being so strict (I feel like his frigging mom!), but I can’t let him die and I completely believe that’s where he was headed if things didn’t drastically change.
That’s all folks. Again, I appreciate you all. Thank you for holding my hand and always being here. I just don’t know what I’d do if this place wasn’t here. I hope to never find out.
Peace & hugs,
~Kemi

Oh for pete’s sake…what a roller coaster ride you’ve been on. Keep the faith, faithfool.
Yay! Good news!

Awesome! I’m grinning from ear to ear on your behalf.
I’m so happy for you Kemi!
That’s good news.
If I may play Mother Hen: I hope that, like a real drill sergeant, you know that you are really just training him to do it for himself. Remember that him not listening to you/Mommy is how this thread started out. I know you mentioned somewhere that he seems more willing to participate, but don’t let this reprieve let everyone slip into old habits.
CK, thanks. I’ll try to keep that in mind. The last thing I want is for him to slip into old, bad habits or to not feel like he’s a contributing member of our household. I want him to be as vital as ever.
Also, for anyone who’s still reading along, I do have a Facebook page where I sometimes go into more of the minutiae about all this. If anyone is interested, send me a PM. I’d love to have you all as my friends on there.
