Losing Steam with Husband Situation

You guys are just the best. You all truly know how to make me feel better. I just had a huge blowout with my mother, who still insists that every last thing we do or how we handle stuff is irrevocably fucking up our lives. Never mind that I’m dealing with the worst bout of suicidalness I’ve ever had or that Jaceson can’t walk to the bathroom, but instead I need to rely on her to do jack shit to help us. ARGH! I’m so frustrated. So re-reading this thread and my other have encouraged me infinitely. I really can’t express my gratitude to you all enough, because you guys offer the support that my own family obviously cannot. Thank you. /rant

Anyway, we’re still talking over the attorney idea. I’ve yet to completely convince him that what we need to do, but I’m hopeful he’ll come around. He’s just so afraid to lose any more money. :frowning: Regardless, I’m positive that attitude will change. I believe, I believe! Thank you once more (And Auto, you really think that? I’m beyond flattered and blushing!) for all y’all do for me. I promise that if any of you ends up in my neck of the woods, I’ll give out extra condiments in my drive-thru. Just say you’re a Doper and you’re golden with me!

Finally, a super positive update for my birthday tomorrow! We have filed his appeal through a company hired by the insurance company. It is infinitely more comprehensive than what the social security administration did and they are lauded as some of the best in their field. I am hopeful (or should I say hopefool?) and optimistic.

Also, I got a job! It’s only temporary, while another woman is out on maternity leave, part-time and a waitressing gig at a small mom and pop shop, but it’s something really close and has very flexible hours. So mostly I’ll be picking up swing evening shifts. I really loved waitressing, so I’m looking forward to it and getting out of the house for anything other than doctor’s appointments. I start Tuesday.

As to Jaceson, his liver is stable (yay!), his blood problems have improved drastically since they put him on that Revlimid medication (double yay!) and we’re slowly moving forward on his getting his back fixed. He just did another stint in the hospital this past weekend due to severe dehydration, but other than that, he’s in therapy and feeling better. Plus, his therapist lets me sit in occasionally too, at no extra cost. So it’s win-win. Triple yay!!

I think that’s everything. We’ve still got our struggles, but I definitely see a light on the horizon and I’m no longer terrified it’s the locomotive that’s going to mow us down. We has smiles.

Just wanted to share that with all you wonderful people. Thanks again for everything! Hugs!!

So nice to hear such a positive update! The waitressing gig sounds like it should be a great pick-me-up for you.

Continuing good wishes and prayers headed your way.

All I gots to say is

Oh good! And Happy Birthday!

I bet you’ll be the favorite waitress for a bunch of people. May they all be good tippers.

Forget my previous question about the Reglan and its side effects. Because they just now told me he has a brain aneurism. I’ll update when I know more.

Please pray.

Praying.

So sorry to hear about this.

I’m not the praying sort, but I’ll meditate in your honor.

So sorry to hear that. All fingers and toes crossed for you and for Jaceson.

+1
