Lost 2.23: "Live Together, Die Alone" [Season Finale] Open Spoilers

Yeah, I thought that too, but even if true to the nth degree, does not excuse that douchebag Michael from killing two Losties in cold blood when not even the life of his son was in danger. I hate Michael.

Yeah! At first, I thought it was part of the deal that he kill Ana Lucia, and Libby was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It also crossed my mind that maybe he had been brainwashed. Forgivable. But when we finally got to see what happened to him in the Others’ camp, I hated him too. Couldn’t he have just as easily gotten Ana Lucia out of the hatch and then let Fenry go? It would have taken more time and been more difficult, but it wouldn’t have resulted in a bloodbath.

BUT THEY HAD HIS SON!!!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalt!

Yeah, if Lost has taught me anything, it’s that running around a semi-deserted island while shouting my kid’s name is actually a viable way of recovering my child*.

-Joe

*Incidentally, I may have to kill some innocents

What was Michael’s kid’s name again? I forgot it.

Shecky.

-Joe

Ah, yes. Thanks.
Now I remember Michael running through the jungle yelling, “Sheckyyyyyyyyyyyy!”

Uh, excuse me but I might have missed a reference to a RAPE CAVE? When did this happen? I don’t recall anyone getting raped anywhere, what episode was this in?

Why do you hate me?

IIRC, Shannon called them that after Claire woke up in the middle of the night screaming that someone was trying to inject her pregnant belly with something.

Well one of them did cave in. Would you want to sleep in a cave on the same island after that? Or any cave at all for that matter?

Well, until that thread comes along…

I remember that the writers dropped a hint early in the season that Desmond packed up a very important book when he ran out of the hatch. The camera focused on O’Brien’s *“The Third Policeman”, * which led to some speculation here. However, the last episode instead focused on Dickens’ *“Our Mutual Friend”. * Did the Dickens book show up at all when he was packing? Otherwise, somehow he ran off ignoring the book that he had carried around for years.

Yup, that was it. Aw, I miss Shannon! :frowning:  Her lines were almost as quotable as Sawyer’s.

I think this is the one:

The Lost Experience - summer thread and website spoilers

Could the Others consider themselves good because they are seeking to protect the island and its mysteries from the outside world who would be tempted to use them unwisely? Hence the hidden nature of the island and the use of deadly force by the Others to protect the secrets.

Charles Widmore is a “bad” person attempting to find and use the island for his own benefit. He suspects the island is somewhere in the Pacific. He sends multiple people to try and find it: the real Henry Gale in a Widmore ballon and sponsors a sailboat race whose course includes the suspected location.

Plus his bio states he is an industrialist and philanthropist: stereotypical bad guy occupations.

Penelope either is looking for Desmond or helping her father find the island.

Was Charles competing in his own race? Perhaps he made it to the island and is being held captive by the Others and Penelope is trying to find him, not Desmond.
