What was the platform upon which the Chariot was built for the Lost In Space television series? It looks like some sort of snow cat.
Well, if I had searched a few more minutes I would have found that the Chariot was built on a Morton Thiokol ‘Spryte’ snowcat.
Speaking of LIS, what’s the deal with the second and third seasons on DVD? The first season comprises eight discs. But Seasons 2 and 3 seem only to be available as Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Were the later seasons shorter? Or are these volumes the only episodes to be released on DVD?
Fox first released season one in one set covering the entire season. They decided it for seasons two and three to split each season into two sets. The other shows in the Irwin Allen family Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and The Time Tunnel have also been split. Land of the Giants has not been announced but most likely the two seasons will come in four volumes.
Ah. Well, I know what’s on my shopping list then…
