Which one? Like, the one where we determined the gravitational field of the Earth, or the one where we measured the speed of light? Or maybe the one where we measured the wavelength of a laser beam using interferometry… That one’s my favorite.
What, isn’t that the kind of experimentation everyone does in college?
That’s a good point. It would allow people to try and communicate quickly if they know the other is online, but they risk somebody else seeing it. But as long as the rule is the same for everybody, it’s fair.
I’ll probably adopt that rule when I mod. Make for less posting restrictions.
Note that last game, editing did in fact draw several votes. It’s allowed in the same sense that lying is allowed: You won’t get modkilled over it, but you might get lynched if anyone catches you at it.
Concerning gaming the mod-kill rules: I was just running some numbers, and it looks like it might actually be to Town’s advantage for a single Townie to commit suicide even in non-endgame scenarios, if there are an odd number of live players during the Day: The lack of an extra target to potentially accidentally lynch is enough advantage to make up for the loss of the Townie, since it doesn’t change the number of mislynches. Theoretically, of course, and assuming no other source of kills other than the lynch and single night-kill.
I am willing if you need to fill slots. I have not played before, but followed The Crimson Glyph from beginning to end and was at once fascinated, amused, educated and repulsed. If you think this one’s OK for a n00b (who can’t even spell “Losst”) count me in.
