I know Netflix is pushing streaming pretty hard. But, I’ve noticed that a great deal of dvds in my queue are showing as Short Wait. Now, a lot of these are sports and opera dvds, so that may just mean they’re not in stock in any of the southwestern shipping centers.
Anyone else running into this? I can stream on my laptop, but dont’ usually want to watch movies like this unless I’m laying in bed. I’ll eventually get a blu ray player that can stream Netflix, but that’s not going to happen for a while.
A lot of my opera and classical music DVDs are too. My guess is they probably have a very limited supply due to lack of demand so they don’t want people thinking they’re going to get one right away. I’ve never had to wait that long for a Short Wait movie anyway.
I rent old foreign films. The increase in short waits has been modest but noticeable. The increase in unavailable is up. There are forums at [Netflix Community](<a href=“http://netflixcommunity.ning.com/forum/topic/show?id=1993323%3ATopic%3A52306”>Netflix Community Guidelines</a>) where one can go an bitch about it. Everyone seems to be of one mind, bitching about it is of no use, unless one gets cathartic benefit from bitching.
I have not been able to connect to Netflix Community for several days. Have you tried it this week?
I just got off the phone with Netflix customer service. Their entire site is down, even for the people answering the phones. (Friday 2PM PDT)
blondebear, I didn’t know you lived in the future!
I have a number of short waits. Also a number of “currently unavailable” for 1960s TV shows like “Patty Duke” and “Peyton Place” that are available if I buy them at Amazon. I think they are going downhill.
They are having issues and have posted a warning on my queue page.
:smack:
I have tomorrow off, so I was in Friday mode when I posted that.
