Love is in the air - or is that smog? A Valentine's MMP

Blurf! Still sick. Trying not to throw up. Even chocolate doesn’t sound good.
I think I’m gonna go force a slice of toast down my throat so’s I can take my morning meds. Then it’s the recliner for me.

I called three fixit shops about my head gasket repair.

*The place around the corner gave me the lowest price and was honest about the fact I might need my head remachined.

*The place everyone likes but no one can hardly get into nearly freaked out when they found out how many miles are on my car. Sounds like they’ve gotten burned by some bad customers in the past.

*The Subaru not-dealer shop gave me the highest estimate, but they would give it the works because they’ve do this kind of thing a lot.

I think I’m going to go with the place around the corner.

Guys never seemd to know how far they could have got with me buying flowers and chocolate.:frowning:

Nope no plans for Valentine’s Day, we ignore it every year. I still have a cold that I thought was going away, now I’m more congested :slightly_frowning_face:. I came home from work and my daughter tells me she’s feeling yucky. Happy Monday!

Car has been retrieved. Supper is warming. Requisite cookage shall occur shortly. I’s hongree!!

Tacos have been ingested. OLÈ! All is well.

{{{Bumba}}} feel better soonest!

{{{Bumba}}} Feel better! I thought of you today. We drove by the sign for the new Black Bear diner on our way to meet with the attorney.

The attorney meeting went well. I’m sure somewhere there’s a giant boot waiting to fall to make up for that. This is the SSDI attorney. I must apply now or I will lose my LTD insurance. She said that I have been doing all of the right things, and seeing the right doctors, and that she thinks that the odds are very good that I will get approved when I apply. I did not know this was possible. She also says that if I get approved, the kids will get benefits whilst they are kids, which is good to know. All in all, I am cautiously optimistic. I am also exhausted. That used my spoons for the week I think!

The sun is out here today. My hubby was making jokes about needing some sort of tent to walk around in. We’re not used to seeing it this time of year!

Supper has been ingested and cleanup followed. I’m thinking it’s time to shed my work clothes and don robe and slippers. Chillage to follow.

Feel better soonest, bumba!

Supper tonight is leftover spinach mushroom smothered chicken. I wasn’t that impressed with it when I made it, but it greatly improved with 48 hours in the fridge.

I’m thinkin’ we shall shortly retire to the boudoir for the evenin’ to watch teevee until sleepy time. 'Tis cool out and we’s tahrd. Seems like a good idea.

Sunny yay for the good news from the attorney. Appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re SSDI.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

This is my third try at posting today. So busy. I cooked a real meal tonight and cleaned up after it. Did two loads of laundry and am whipped.

Rosie’s sig all y’all.

Me too! 33 years and no valentines observance. We must have figured this relationship stuff out.

We should all pitch in and create a horrible and complicated crime scene for him to study. Now who (COUGHplantCOUGH) can we get to be the victim? (we need s Smilie for a wide but evil grin)

Ahhhh, had we only met years and years ago. I love shopping for that kind of stuff but the OW never really cared for getting it very much. :frowning:

I gots mater sprouts!!!111!!!

The cherry tomato seeds that I started last week are sprouting already. I have the list to start this week and I need to repot the rosemary. I may grow the stuff to make marinara on my patio by the end of summer.

Outstanding!

Who the hell did you date, Neanderthals? Republicans?
:dubious:

I’m really excited because I have a gift from a friend to open tomorrow. It’s just a small one and it’s not for anything romantic but it’s honestly the only Valentine’s gift I’ve ever received. Well I mean outside of the little cards you get in elementary school lol The few relationships I’ve had have always ended before Valentine’s day so I just never had the chance. Well no, my ex-husband but he was a cheapskate who realized he hadn’t gotten me something for Mother’s day once (our daughter was 2) and so went outside and picked some flowers from the neighbor’s garden rather than spend money on me. But yay! I get something tomorrow!

Yay Angel!

Yay Red! We’re too cold, officially. I shall have tomatoes this year. I shall! And carrots. Those too.

I worked. A car crashed into the beauty supply place two doors down. Nobody got hurt. My truck is delayed a day, since the warehouse couldn’t pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were printed on the bottom of the heel.

Congrats! I have my mother’s brown thumb of death when it comes to plants.:frowning:

: emails roses and Godiva : How ya doin’?

Yay, Angel!

:crosses appropriate and inappropriate appendages for Sunny :

Feel better ,Bumba!

Happy chocolate and flowers day, mumpers!

I did get a card, 'im indoors posted it back through the door when he left yesterday morning (he works away from home all week) so I found it in the porch when I got home last night. I hid a card and some choccies in his backpack so hopefully he’s going to find those when he empties it out.

(((((Bumba))))) - feel better soon, that’s an order!

Angel, enjoy your gift, you have a very thoughtful friend there

I am going to be amusing myself doing whatever does not require access to our major systems today. Both the student record system and the thing that draws reports from it are down for maintenance and upgrades today so there’s a limit to what we can do without any of that stuff. Naturally someone’s found something urgent that they simply have to get today or the world will end…
