Love is in the Heir!!! Paris has competition

Well… It is apparent to me that Paris Hilton has competition. There’s this new show on E! right now about an heiress whose family lives in London (I don’t know which family but maybe they are Indian? I have no clue if they even had a royal family). Anyway this girl wants to be a country singer, and her family wants her to live a normal royal life. There is obvious tension, and this girl is very, very, spoiled. This is horrible.

She doesn’t stop complaining about how put upon she is. She also sings country music, and wants to be a country music star

Ahhhh! This is hilarious!

I thought this thread was going to be about how Paris has competition from Normandy or Calais, because those two are beach towns.

I saw a bit of that last night. I think it’s supposed to be a joke. The bit with the boyfriend was just a little too staged.

I believe you’ve been had.

awwww…

really? I guess that is a good thing though, because I really hope that people can’t be that shallow. Who knows… why do you think it is a hoax? I just flipped to it so I had no prior information.

I thought the same thing, and to lend credence to that idea, Googling Princess Anne Claire brings up only links to E!'s website.

So my vote goes for fake, but maybe someone can prove me wrong.

I’ve done a little research, and I’ve come up with some interesting pieces of information that tends to help me believe that it is real. None of these are rock-solid, but take them for what they are worth.

Googling “Ann Claire Van Shaick Pahlavi” tends to come up with some results that she is who E! claims her to be.

She was a supporter of some kind of global vision for peace thing with the Dali Lama

This one is from an AP story that has several forigners swearing an oath of alliegance to the US during the war. She is quoted here too.

Obvioiusly there is no kind of solid proof, but I believe it. What do you guys think?

Well, here’s some info (a cached Google page)

judging from the family tree based on the page that was linked too, the characters on the show match up with those in the dynasty. Whether or not she is a princess is a matter of debate. I suppose the whole show could be staged, but according to that website her Parents were decended from royalty, and her sister from the show checks out. She did change her name, and she isn’t a princess, but I actually guess it could be a fake, considering how she is an actress.

She has shown up for several events claiming to be a princess! But I am still interested.

The Genealogy page is here:

search for her real name: Anahita Pahlbod

They seem to match up with the E! page here:

So her claims to being a princess are probably bogus and trumped up by E! for dramatic purposes, but what does that mean about the rest of her family? Are they playing along too or is there any realism to it?
