Will the $30 million inheritence be the only assets she has, other than what she gets for TV and movie appearances? If so, I see her burning through that pretty quickly.
My bet is once that starts happening, she’ll marry someone richer than her, divorce a year later and live comfortably off alimony for the rest of her life.
This is no shit my friend, but honestly, I got to about the 3/5ths mark in that interview and simply couldn’t stomach it anymore.
I got to thinking about all those poor bastards in Iraq dodging RPG’s on a daily basis, all the poor souls in Turkey and Israel getting killed lately just while queuing up to buy a pizza, and then I went back to reading the article, and listening to what Paris Hilton had to say on what was important in life.
You know what I thought after pondering all that? It was like reading a High School Cafeteria popularity contest that never ended - where the contestants were grownups in age only - but were condemned to live a life of total, irrevocable self-aborption.
I had nothing but disdain for such idiots at high school. That Paris Hilton and her ilk are so wealthy and twit-like that they can keep carrying it on for years afterwards doesn’t change my perception of the syndrome one little bit.
My mind keeps going back to the poor bastards in shitty warzones the world over who are sent there by forces beyond their control.

My first thought- beyond what a vapid, shallow, talentless, clueless moron she seems to be - was the same as Sublight. $30 million doesn’t seem like that much really. Granted, I’d take it, but I see her blowing through that it 10-15 years.

Paris Hilton is the worst example I can think of a manufactured celebrity–and rags like Rolling Stone and People and whoever keep the ball rolling by treating her as if she’s a REAL celebrity (whatever THAT means).
OK, I like the Hilton Sisters. We need our sparkly, empty, silly celebutantes; they’re like the jimmies on the cupcake of life.

I’m still sticking by my prior assertion that “Socialite” is the greatest job in the world. All it is in partyin’ and scroggin’, really. And it’s even better if it’s done by spending money you did absolutely nothing to deserve.
In any case (including, of course, this one), I am a huge Hilton sisters fan in a testosterone sense; and also, aren’t their lives akin to what would be considered “American Royalty”? I don’t think they behave any worse than any historical Royal scions. I mean, what went down on that video wasn’t all that morally reprehensible (compared to some of the stuff documented on 60 minutes this past sunday), it’s just unfortunate that it got out.
Didn’t really think much of her before, but I think even less of her after reading that.

Having wasted several years of my life (and made a couple of pornos) with a vapid blonde heiress, this chick sends chills down my spine. I’ve seen this tragedy-in-the-making first hand.
I think it’s best to view Paris Hilton with a certain amount of pity, because the only three things she has are sex appeal, money, and celebrity, and there’s a damned good chance she’s not bright enough to be able to keep any of those things.
Beautiful women are always targets for exploitation, but beautiful rich women attract the very finest grifters on the planet–I’ve seen it personally. There is a good chance that from this moment forward this woman will be fighting simply to keep as much of what she has now as she can.
I feel sorry for her, even though she’s going to hurt a lot of people on her way down.
Seeing as how this is about the only message board to mention PH and the video of doom and not be spammed with links to sites pimping her upcoming TV show, I’d say that it was no accident it got released. Whomever is her manager (and no doubt he’s skimming off as much of her earnings as he can) realized that the video would be the perfect vehicle to create buzz for her new show.
Have I missed something, or are ALL the reasons Paris Hilton is famous NEGATIVE reasons? Does she have any fans? people who admire her? or are we all just standing by in perplexed horror?
