I love that no one looks at me funny because I post that i read Kafka’s “Metamorphosis”, instead they start an intelligent discussion.
I love that people here understand when I say “I just watched Tomb Raider to see him Daniel Craig naked” and they don’t look at me like :dubious:

I love the odd bits of trivia and knowledge I find scattered about this place.
Mostly, I love knowing this place is always here - I find that oddly comforting.
I also love chocolate, but the love offerings in that department have been pretty scarce.

I love the sweet, smart women who post in my threads.

I love how fast “Help me identify…” threads get answered, even the longest of long shots.
I love how we rally for posters who are hurting.

I love that folks on the Dope not only get my jokes, but post improvements or riffs within seconds.
I love the way the Dopesters can fill in the name of an obscure book or film in nanoseconds.
I love that I can count on you for straight feedback when I’m sure I’m screwing up, but I’m not sure how.
I love the way Celtling says “Let’s ask your on-line buddies!” when we find an interesting question but can’t find the answer.
But most of all, I love the Dope because you can pull me into the intellectual realm when the emotional gets too overwhelmingly painful to paddle through. You get me thinking again, which gets me moving again. So thank you for all of the distracting, scintillating, pointless or RO’ing ideas, queries, and trivia bytes that have helped keep me sane through what I sincerely hope will have been the very worst year of my life.
And I love the fact that 96% of you will have no trouble at all parsing that last sentence. 
Long, perfectly understandable run-on sentences: a rare and lovely pleasure on the Internet.
I love how the advice is dispensed without coddling and frills. Easily digestible, no bs, take it or leave it help right when you need it.
I love the natural history GQs and discussions.
And the wisecracks. I hate to clutter up a thread with canned laughter LOLs, but I appreciate levity and the posters who are quick on their feet.

Thanks guys. I try not to post too much in mushy ass threads, but I would be remiss if I didn’t admit I love posters who can make me laugh.
Also, I second the notion about the advice. Sometimes, you just want to know the score on something, and you can drop it in GQ and be sure that some no nonsense posters are going to handle that biz, free, quick, raw with no chaser. Gotta love it.
I love the puns that leave me snortleling with suppressed laughter at work, wishing I’d thought of them.

I love when I see something great on the dope and mention that “I read it somewhere”, to my brother later, he says, “Let me guess… On the Dope?”
I love that you guys are there whenever I’m up, early or late, so I always have someone to talk to.
I love getting my news fom the Dope.
I love that, whenever I’ve finished a great (or not so great) TV series, I come here to find that you guys have dissected it at length.
I love the humour, too - I read the stuff that people write, and wonder how they came up with something that funny.
I also love the serious discussions about interesting topics in the Pit (not Great Debates, where the serious discussions are far too pedantic for my little brain). I also love that the interesting discussions in the Pit include people getting their asses handed to them when required. 
I also love that if there is something I want to know about happening in the world, someone here will have started a thread on it already. I get my news here, then on my local tv news two days later.
