Howdy Y’all! Today I have paid bills, made up burgers for dindin and made a cake for tomorrow. We’re goin’ to a friend’s house for dindin tomorrow. She’s makin’ lasagna. She makes good lasagna! Anywho I said I’d bring dessert so I made a mandarin orange cake. Go Me!

It’s not so sunny, and it’s cool enough to have the windows open.
I hope to get my truck today. I called about the shuttle coming to get me yesterday but they never called back. I put in a call today and still haven’t heard back.
I felt so horrible yesterday though that I don’t care that I didn’t hear back, and I’m not feeling all that much better today
I looked into getting Direct TV, thank y’all for your comments. Unfortunately, while I can get DT through ATT out here, I can’t get internet and a landline through ATT. The price of living in the semi-boonies. So my choices are antietam that I already have, verizon, or getting everything separately. I also found out, by studying the cable bill that I should have been taking more money off my taxes as a business expense. I was taking the phone bill but not the phone equipment. Probably wouldn’t have made that much difference anyway, but I will not be making that mistake this year.
I watched Project Runway last night. I think we are in for another sucky season.
On top of all that, now my landline isn’t working with my job. I have no idea why. but the calls aren’t connecting. My phone rings but when I answer I either get a fast busy signal or a dial tone. I’ve been using my cell phone for irk but the company doesn’t approve of that and honestly, I don’t like it either. Sometimes the calls have a hollow sound. Otherwise, I’d just get rid of the land line and use my cell phone.
I need to call the mortgage company, they still haven’t adjusted my mortgage payment correctly. I have to help my friend who has the warrant out on her. My friend talked to a friend who is rather high up in the Federal Govt. That friend made some calls to the mayor’s office and a nice man called my friend and said he would work with her to resolve this. He was supposed to call her back after Labor Day and didn’t. When she called him, he said he didn’t remember talking to her and he can’t help her. He wants her to send him an email with all the information, so I said I’d help her with that. I do NOT understand why nobody can find this information because it is right out there on the MD website.
I guess I should be getting ready in case the shuttle turns up. I wish I’d hear back so I know how to schedule the rest of the day.
Expensive but productive day - finally got the new title back for The Boy’s car, so the tax is paid and the tag is issued and he can finally swap out the little truck and drive his cute little car.
And I got tired of Tony’s dithering about what sort of storage building he/we needed - we’d decide on something, and he’d add 20 new options that put the price at something ludicrous, and I’d veto the cost, lather, rinse, repeat. So, while my dad was here to watch the girls, and Tony was napping, I went and bought the building I wanted in the first place. I was home within half an hour, and told Tony we’d have the building on Tuesday. And that, if a 10’ × 20’ shed with 2 lofts isn’t enough storage, that it’s time to get rid of crap. He didn’t even argue. 
(Easier to ask forgiveness than permission and all…)
Leftovers for dinner tonight, pork burgers for tomorrow’s football watching, might make a cherry pie. 87° right now, and sunny, but the morning was cool and overcast, so the fence post holes in the back have been filled and the weeds have been sprayed. Two sick little girls, but it’s “hot tea, ibuprofen, cartoons, and naps” sick - not extraneous bodily fluids and crying. If they must be under the weather, I’ll take this version!
Good heavens, yes! Extraneous body fluids and little kids is no fun at all! Kind of the opposite of fun, actually.
I am so happy it’s Friday! DH comes back from CA today. Even better, tomorrow I do not have to get up a 0-dark-thirty to get everyone else up in time for school. I dream of the day when they’ll manage this on their own. I have a dream. I have a dream.
I just ran my hand down my jawline & can feel a bump. Why is it swollen on the outside if there’s all the space of a missing toof on the inside? I thought nature abhors a vacuum. 
Found out today that I’ve got fairly crappy dental insurance. $1500 per year maximum? My two recent crowns were $1497, so no room left for some more fillings that I need. Here’s hoping those teeth stay calm until January…
Truck is home, life is back to normal. Well, not normal, but normal for me.
Phone calls can wait until Moonday.
I picked up some hamburger rolls on the way home, and got some Roy Roger’s for dinner.
Now it’s time for irk.
Spidey swollen face does happen after toof extraction. My dad had one removed a few months ago and he ended up looking like he’d been beaten up. Huge bruises and a really swollen jaw. I hope yours stays relatively small. Ice is your friend.
We went to the Olde Towne Pub in Leonardtown for a quick supper. Now we’re home, chilling.
Chilling is good. 
Chores are done and pot roast is in the oven. Other than sore feets, life is good.

I think the roll/bun thing is regional. Buns were fancy donuts. Rolls were small bread items. Since **sari **is from the same area where I spent my formative years, I assumed she was exposed to the same terminology.

Although if somebody said hamburger buns or hot dog buns, I’d know what they meant. Buns - I think sticky buns, or bear claws
Swampy I bought mine at a convenience store. I had to ask where they were, the store had two bags of hamburger rolls, two bags of hot dog rolls and two loaves of bread, hidden in the candy aisle of all places.

Irk is done, groceries are bought and supper has been obtained from the Chinese takeout by Kroger.
I’m not sure if it’s only the ragweed that’s kicking my butt, but my upper jaw is tender on the right side. With the allergies, I don’t know if it’s that, an ear infection or tooth problems (it really doesn’t feel quite like that). If I’m still having problems by Wednesday, I’ll schedule a doctor’s appointment.
Home and resting for the big day we have planned for tomorrow. First breakfast at a dive diner we love near the Alcosan sewage treatment plant (location, location, location) and then a tour and open house at said plant. So in a way we’re going to live and witness the Circle of Life. Or the Circle of Poo. Or a strange combination of the two. The we’re meeting a friend for an early dinner and then I am dropping off Bessie for fluid change and check-over before I put her away in a month and a half.

Blessed weekend. Thank you Jesus! What a long hard week it’s been. Sinuses are all acting up. Had to stay at irk almost unti 7pm. Stopped for filets and had a nice bottle of wine. Now I need Ben badly. Dag gum whatever is in bloom right now.
