Lurkers Anonymous: Roll Call Part II

yeah Hi!

I am Hawk and I am usually invisible, even when posting.

bye

Hi. I’m a lurker at 0.06 posts per day.

And, if history is any indicator, this post will likely be the last in the thread. Fun while it lasted.

At 0.32 a day, I am sure I make the grade of a reasonably efficient lurker.

Besides the reasons already posted which apply to me just as well, I actually like reading the posts more than writing, because I am always sure that someone else will most certainly come along and say what I am wanting to say.

So I just move along reading and enjoying more and more posts instead of spending time writing something that some other poster can, and does and better.

0.17 posts per day. Yep, definitely still a lurker.

And I’ll just say previously stated reasons for not posting more frequently pretty much reflect my thoughts.

Killing a thread is bad enough, but it’s even worse to start a thread that turns out to be stupid and uninteresting. And to kill your own thread that way? yeah…
I’m lurker-ish. I tend to go through periods where I’ll ignore the boards for a while, then lurk for a while, then have a brief fit of frenzied posting. Then I lather, rinse, and repeat.

In addition to the “someone else said it better already” problem, I also tend to start a post, then half-way through I decide it’s not worth it and move on.

Amazing… an entire thread full of people whose usernames I don’t recognize. Well, except for** Buckler of Swashing** and sandra_nz. You blasted Antipodeans!

I think I’m a lurker.

Another lurker. I used to read this board daily, but to my eyes it’s gone through a noticeable decline in the past year. Now I just visit a few times per week.

If the renewal wasn’t so cheap -I’d be in permanent lurker mode.

I agree with the feeling of being intimidated by the brilliant posters.

Thread killing is a scary thing. I’ll finally get the oomph to post and it just dies. You just want to go curl up in a ball.

Maybe we can change that? I don’t care if you just post to say “Me too.” Just post; your opinion matters. To me, it does. Really.

If the whole idea bombs, I vote we blame it on **Kolga’s ** dog.

Hirka T’Bawa, thank you for starting this thread. Maybe it will bring a bunch of us out of the lurker closet and we’ll have some fun.

(two hours and countless edits, if anyone’s keeping track. Hitting submit before I think too much)

I just spent TWO hours on composing a very personal response to everyone. And now it’s gone. No wonder our post counts suck.

I need to have someone point me to whom I should kill or where the hell to recover this on my computer.

This has been a pretty good lurker thread.

I’ve actually been thinking about starting to post instead of lurk for a while, and I’ve been waiting for an easy way to get started. I don’t think I would have ever come up an ‘introduce myself’ thread that I thought would have been interesting enough.

I posted in another thread yesterday, maybe I’ll try to make 1 post a day for a while, and see how that goes.

Unless someone beats me in, I’ll be the 51st post here. If I kill the thread on a new page all to myself, then I’ll see all you lurkers in another couple years.

I have to stop gushing!

He’s used to that!

Hmmm. At .48 posts per day, I guess I qualify, too, even if just barely.

I’m a lurker!

Okay, I’m trying to make another BIG “HI, How Are You, Please Post More” response and I’m doing it in Word so it doesn’t go away. Bear with me!!

Woot on Waldo–first on second page!

what a bunch of chatty kathies.

Hello, my name is Cyros and I am a lurker.

This is mostly as I surf using my Axim 51v (have to watch the little one and computer is downstairs).
Not too mention I am not as witty or smart as most other posters.

I remember the last lurker thread, I posted in it, too.

I read alot here, but don’t post much. I renewed because it was pretty cheap and I get to have “charter member” under my user name.

Howdy.

0.15 posts per day. I go through brief spurts.
