The SDMB is very special to me, I visit every day and have been around since the beginning. I remember the old AOL message board with Cecil’s pulsating brain in a jar. I don’t post very much mainly because writing is very difficult for me I just don’t have the skill of translating my thoughts into text. I am closing in on a thousand posts, others in this thread have more than that. I can’t see having a thousand posts could be considered a lurker, I don’t consider myself as one.

I come in often, And post every so often but i feel i’m just not smart enough to participate in a meaningful way.
To me, the term “lurker” sounds like someone who is on the outskirts of a group but not really part of it, and I have never felt that way here. My name may not be recognizable to most members but when I actually post, I feel accepted and like one of the gang. I’m not a lurker, I’m just an infrequent poster, that’s all.
