Well damn! Hey folks, I really did want to make this, but my best friend’s dad just died and the memorial and wake are this Saturday. He was a dad I grew up with - I’m still not quite believing he’s gone.
In the way that I instinctively approach things, I immediately thought of how I could squeeze 'em both in. But no. I need to give Charlie, Dianne and the daughters a big chunk of time - all the time they need.
So, I’ll see y’all again, soon. Next year. I was looking forward to meeting some new ones (Lynn, et al), and I’ll miss seein’ Z, Jim, Grace, Troy, purrp… ah, heck, I can’t list all of y’all - Happy Holidays!!!
I didn’t have anything around the house so I bought something. I also bought Cranium so we could play it, but I intend to play it with other friends so I’ll just keep it. Besides, we already opened the box and read through the instructions and opened all the packets.
Heh, Moxmaiden also recently bought Cranium and had wanted to bring it this weekend. Sounds like there’s a surplus of Craniums already so we’ll leave ours at home.

The IFGS crew in Oklahoma is losing their land site this month, and they lose any props that aren’t removed before the end of the year. That means I’m going up to help dismantle and carry away the castle.

Thanks again to Bad News Baboon and Good New Gorilla for hosting the holiday party. I think everyone had a wonderful time. You can always tell it’s a good party when no one wants to leave. I hope we didn’t over-stay our welcome or leave the house in really bad shape.
Lynn, I’m sorry you had to leave early. It was great seeing you again. I don’t think I’ve seen you at a dopefest in a couple of years. We really need to start having them closer to your area of town so we can ensure that you’ll be there. BTW, I ended up with the gift you brought. Poing I had to steal it away from the host, but it’s all mine now. cackle
I’m sorry I had to leave early too, but I looked at my toes and they were starting to turn black, which means that I needed to elevate my feet above my heart. This is NOT something I wanted to do in someone else’s house.
I had a great time seeing all of you, and it was a great party.

I had a really good time as always. I have the cowboys and indians set up on the table. We played with the microscope. It worked great once I figured out which was the right end to look into. Take a look.
