Lynn Bodoni has passed away

This is very sad news. She will be missed. Life is too short.

Very surprising and sad news. RIP Lynn.

I’m guessing “arrangements” are being handled by Lynn’s Cousin Vinnie and that we shouldn’t ask any questions if we know what’s good for us.

I’m very sorry to hear this, and my thoughts go out to her family and the longtime SDMB-ers who’ve known her since way, way back.

Good gracious me.

So sorry to hear this.

Wow. what a shock. Terrible news. :frowning:

Yeah.

So sad.

Oh no! :frowning: Her family will be in my thoughts.

What terrible news. I fondly remember when we served on the moderating staff together - all those years ago.

Farewell, Lynn.

Condolences to her family.

Holy shit. What a shock to see this.

I barely know what to say (like I ever do) … my condolences to her family.

I’m heartbroken by this. I’ve worked with Lynn since I joined the Straight Dope (around 2000, IIRC); we’ve met face to face at a couple of Moderator Meetings, and I gamed with her online for a few years. Her acerbic wit, piercing sense of humor, love of cats, and practical common sense will be missed.

Is there any way Dopers could contribute in some way as a group? I feel we were a part of her life that should not go unrecognized – is Cousin Vinnie up to speed about her/our relationship? I would certainly be willing to make a small contribution towards a SDMB/Bodoni memorial or whatever.

What a shock! My deepest condolences to her family, friends, and to all of us she touched online.

Very saddened to hear this. I hope her family knows how much she was loved and respected here. Our SDMB family is diminished by her loss.

So, so sorry to hear this. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

What a loss for all of us. My condolences to her family.

A loss to many, obviously. Sad news.

She will be missed by her friends and family, but she will also be missed by hundreds of Dopers who never met her in real life. So sorry to hear this!
