Lynn Bodoni has passed away

I’m a relative newbie so I didn’t know Lynn all that long, but I really enjoyed her posts and her sense of humor. She was a cat person, my kind of chick! My condolences to all of you who have lost such a treasured friend, and to her family.

oh my god…

Farewell, Lynn. Thanks for being you.

I’m so sorry to hear this sad news. I’ll miss her.

Yes, thank you.

Very sad. She will definitely be missed.

These threads are really getting to me. Lynn. Opal. Poly. Yeesh, this sucks.

There are too few decent people in the world. Now, more so.

So sorry to hear this. She was like an old friend.

I never had occasion to interact with her other than as a fellow participant if various threads. But, she was a constant presence, so it is a shock to find out that she won’t be here any longer.

Oh no! This is so sad! :frowning:

I’M GONNA MISS YOU, LYNN!**

Not being in the position to adopt a cat right now (have 2 already + 2 dogs) I am going to sponsor the adoption fees for a cat or two, in her name, at the shelter where I volunteer.

A bump for the donation link. You are going to need to raise the limit as well; at this rate, the $1000 level will be reached shortly.

One of the mothers of this board is gone. :frowning:

Is there any reason a limit must be set? I understand a time limit, but an *amount *limit?

Just curious, fluiddruid, but does the picture on the donation page have any special significance? One of Lynn’s cats, maybe? Or just a stock photo?

“Who is Number One?”

Rest in peace, Lynn. :frowning:

RiP Lynn. :frowning:

My condolences to her family.

Just a stock photo. I felt a cat was a better choice for Lynn’s memorial (the original for the template, a big ol’ clock, felt oogy to me).

I’m stunned by your generosity, folks. While we can still donate past the $1,000 goal – it’s just for fun – I’ll move it up just so nobody is discouraged from donating. Thanks very much.

It was one of her dog’s threads that led me here and kept me on the boards that have been such an influential part of my life. Mind-boggling to think she’s not a PM or post away now.
Her memory will always be a blessing to me and I hope the same and more for her family and friends.

I still remember how Lynn welcomed me to the Board when I joined. It was like having one of the big kids looking out for you on your first day at a new school.

It didn’t take me long to realize that those personal touches - her friendship, and her kindness - were Lynn’s for everyone.

May she rest in peace.

Hey! It’s the fucking SDMB, fer Chrissakes!
