I haven’t been in ATMB for a week or three so wandered over, and found this. Such sad news - the Straight Dope was better because of her.

She’d been ill for some time. We talked about opening a thread a while ago so she could see how much people appreciated what she’s done for the board, but that was very much not Lynn’s style and we chose to respect her privacy.
What a shock. My thoughts are with her loved ones. The boards will never be the same again without her.

The memorial fundraising thread for Child’s Play is now up. If you’re interested to share this with others who may not be familiar with the boards, or to track our progress so far, I also created a web page for the fundraiser.
I hope you’ll consider donating to Child’s Play. It’d be great if we can give some comfort to some kids struggling with significant illnesses. The gift of laughter and fun is a wonderful comfort to people who are sick.
