Lyrics question - Popcorn song Apollo 100

I have a really old tape copy-of-a-copy of an obscure version of the well-known Popcorn song (originally written by Gershon Kingsley) by Apollo 100. At least I believe the band’s name is Apollo 100 (or maybe it’s the album name by Hot Butter?) Anyways, what is unique about it is that it is a vocal, not merely an instrumental piece. The lyrics aren’t quite determinable unfortunately.

What was the backstory on this verison and the lyrics?

That’s interesting.
The group that had a hit with the instrumental “Popcorn” was Hot Butter (1972)
Apollo 100 had a hit with “Joy,” released 1971.
They were both done with the Moog synthesizer, which you probably knew. I’ve never heard a vocal version of “Popcorn.” What’s the origin of your tape? Could the lyrics be foreign?

If Popcorn was the “song” I think it is, I’d say the lyrics are-

POP pop POP popopopop
POP pop POP popopopop
Pop pop POP popOpopoPOpopopoPOpopopopopop…

A disco singer named Pattie Brooks sang a medley one one of her LPs that included “Popcorn,” but the Popcorn section she left instrumental; she only sang over other parts of the medley.

I copied the tape from a tape my parents have, so I don’t have the original. The lyrics are in English.
One sounds sort of like “when the sun is shining through”
