Mac help -- Address error?

I’m having a weird problem w/ my Mac. I can’t book up w/o turning off the extensions first in OS 9.2.2. I installed OSX Jaguar last week, and it works fine. But, for no reason that I can figure out, OS 9 just stopped working yesterday. The weird thing is when I used to restart my computer, I would periodically get this “address error” upon restart. I would then just restart the computer again, and it would work fine. Now when I restart it keeps giving me the address error. Any ideas?

Could be just the OS got corrupted. Mac OS isn’t the most stable in the world.

You might want to try www.apple.com. If you go to the support section they have tech help. They might be able to help.

Did you install anything else? An address error means some application tried to access invalid memory. Also, was a previous version of Mac OS X installed?

The only thing I’ve installed lately is a Jedi Knights II demo. Yea, I had the previous OSX, and then installed Jaguar. Would reinstalling OS9 help?

It’s probably not OS 9, since the computer boots with extensions disabled. Look at the bottom of the screen as the computer boots. What is the last icon that shows up before the error occurs?
