Made-Up, False and Flat-out Wrong Trivia Dominoes

The most obscure of Gershwin’s piano songs, *Misty Eyed Girl O’Mine *was often performed as a piano duet by Gershwin and Bobo. The official recording was produced just weeks before Bobo’s tragic death. This song is always played as the entrance piece when Bobo’s head is on tour.

*Misty Eye * was a failed series produced for Anne Francis, after Honey West had run its course. She was to play a private investigator with stories having an emphasis on international espionage. The casting of Stanley Myron Handelman as her secretary is usually given as the reason it didn’t get past the script phase.

Anne Francis, after her movie career started dying, began to start passing as a man in an attempt to get male lead roles. She cut her hair in a crew, but producers were still not willing to hire her on. The breakthrough came when she began letting the hair from her lip mole grow to extreme lengths, which she then combed over into an attractive mustache and beard. She immediately landed the role of Reb Tevya in a Fargo production of Fiddler on the Roof, drawing record crowds, at least for Fargo. All three attendees were quoted as saying “Yah, that was a good show, you betcha.”

Even though Francis the Talking Mule had his dialogue dubbed for the movies, he did know three words and used them often: Food, when he was hungry; Water, when he was thirsty; and Ass, when he was pissed at his current co-star.

When shown in Brazil, the dialog of Francis the Talking Mule was dubbed by the famous voice-over actor, Gustavo the Talking Capybara.

Capybara are the world’s fastest flying mammals. They are also intensely territorial and protective of their lychee nuts.

Brazil has a chain of very popular drive-through coffee huts named Capybara’s, which in English means “busty barrista who wears only a cap”.

Gustavo was the product of a bizarre Nazi expat experiment after the war. A known war-criminal and Gestapo doctor, Baron von Phartuchinstein, performed the operation, crossing the capybara with Bobo’s talking head.

Nobody ever ninja’d Bobo. It was like he had eyes in the back of his head.

Ninjas have come to be portrayed as clad in black and wearing masks, but this is more movie than history: historically ninjas dressed,as pandas. Everybody loves pandas, so much they never thought about them not being native to Japan or wondered why they were wielding throwing stars.

Westerners unfamiliar with Japanese illustrations of people being attacked by throwing stars and grimacing in pain led to the mistaken notion that the stars were a depiction of being in pain, and this was later adopted by cartoonists.

Stars are supposed to have 42 points, but the first child to draw one broke his crayon after only five. This is also the reason squares have four sides and dodecahedrons have, um, however many they have. Blame the crayon!

Crayons were first invented in the Dark Ages, and had only four colors: Dysentery Green, Bile Yellow, Shit Brown, and Bubonic Blue.

The fifth crayon color, Moorish Red, was discontinued in 1164 after the inventor was burned at the stake for heresy.

A person is said to “plead the fifth” when he refuses to answer every fifth question during testimony.

Ash Wednesday began when the faithful used to get ashes on their face while looking for loose change in the smoldering remains of heretics burned at the stake AFTER BEING CONVICTED BY DAMNING TESTIMONY.

(CAP words added to make it applicable to previous post.)

Wednesday got its name because it was a day of the week when, traditionally, weddings were performed at Loch Ness.

The Loch Ness Monster is a hoax perpetuated by the Wee Folk.

The Wee Folk are a hoax perpetuated by the Bavarian Illuminati.

The Illuminati got their name because they glow in the dark on nights with a new moon. The ancients would follow them at night so they wouldn’t stray off the path.
