I’m happy to hear this, and I hope it doesn’t suck. It’ll be nice to have another sketch show hitting the presidential campaign.
During most of its run, I liked it better than SNL. It’ll be a Tuesday evening prime time show this time around, debuting on July 26 at 9p.
I always liked SNL better, but MAD TV was pretty good too. Both had their ups and downs. Since I haven’t watched either in 20 years or so, though, I’m not much of a judge of the current show.
MadTV had some very talented performers but suffered greatly from not having a Lorne Michaels. None of the performers I’ve heard talk about it since had anything good to say about the producers.
