Mafia: Baker Street [Game in progress]

Also, as a side-note: If I am tied with another player, I will vote for that player in the interest of self-preservation. If you really want me dead, make sure I’m one vote above everybody else… I won’t vote to cause a tie.

Surely, with modern science being what it was, I could have thought to combine these posts into one mega-post, but oh well:

I find LightFoot scummier than Silver Jan, and as promised earlier, I’ll be going into the end of the Day with a single vote. That one vote might change, but I won’t multivote on the final day.

Unvote Silver Jan.

Astral, I think that vote count is missing some votes. I’m also voting for Diggit, and I believe so is Johnny Bravo. Those votes for Diggit did not appear in the official vote count earlier; we have not received information on why. Is that why you did not include them?

O Mod, A Vote Count, if it be Thy will?]**

Would someone voting for Texcat tell me: is the case purely about her stance on the Duplicate Clue? Or is there more I’ve missed?

Let’s try that again. Form is so important in ritual.

O Gracious Mod, A Vote Count, if it be Thy Will?

Dizzy’s entire contribution so far (purpling and bolding mine):

Vote: Dizzy

Not much to go on here. I really hate her vote for Sinjin for being aggressive, and note that she was bandwagoning Astral here. Why should we think aggressive players are scum? Aggressive players catch scum. Scum are much more likely to be quiet and trying to merge into the background; posting but without saying much and agreeing with others. Dizzy is bandwagoning SilverJan’s post when she votes me. And hasn’t bothered to explain even after I have asked twice about this vote. I actually think that Dizzy skimmed through what the “slip” was, since the alleged slip was based on her CLUE. I think Dizzy was just miming SilverJan and getting a vote in where she could.

Correction for Astral’s vote count: You missed the same two Diggitt votes that our mod missed. (291 and 308).

I should mention, before we get to the last day of the Day, that I might unexpectedly be unavailable during the day on any given weekday (and really hope that this will happen often). I’m currently working as a substitute teacher, and don’t know until the morning of whether I’m going to be working on any given day.

I’ll answer. Scathach, Gnarly, and Pleo are voting me because I was voting people who gave their clues away. Scathach makes the most cogent argument below. I have since unvoted those, but continue to think that revealing CLUEs is bad for Town. Pleo disagrees. I do wish Scathach would look at my cases on Septimus and Dizzy.
Septimus is voting me because I am aggressive.
And who knows what Dizzy was thinking?

Well, Pleo has demonstrated to my satisfaction at least with his conspiracy games that town is far too willing to keep info from itself as a body because scum. I don’t mean to argue that we should all throw down on Day 1 but certainly, by mid-game if you’re still holding onto information like this, a player should really consider the odds of it helping town, helping scum, and it potentially already being known by scum.

Thanks, Texcat.

I won’t be voting Texcat today. I don’t agree with her assessment of ClueGate, but that is not an indicator of alignment.

That does not look good from Dizzy. I’d like to hear an explanation of how she thought Texcat had made a slip about scum clues, given her own clue. For now

unvote septimus – still suspicious, but probably not going to be lynched today.
vote Dizzymrslizzy

for a nonsensical vote (on Texcat), a poorly-reasoned vote (on sinjin), low engagement and just not seeming townie.

Inner, can you indulge me and clarify why you are voting Pizza?

I may or may not be around at end of round.

Is there going to be a serious push to lynch me today, and if so, do you want my full role claim now?

Because, seriously. LOL if so.

Daphne you’re online, and I’m pretty much posing that question to you specifically. Either the votes come off or I claim, or you tell me not to.

I am keeping my vote on Astral for now, because I would still be happy for him to be lynched, especially in favor of co-leader Texcat. It looks like Pizza, Pleo and Dizzy are now all tied for second. I won’t be able to be online at EoD to help avoid a tie, so I will try to have a vote on only one of the “top candidates” before I have to leaving tomorrow morning. We should do everything possible to avoid a tie.

I am keeping my vote on Diggit because I want to see if there are shenanigans going on with the vote-count. I would be happy for his lynch too but it seems unlikely at this point.

And I’m still voting for Daphne, apparently. This game is off to a great start.

Unvote DaphneBlack

Is TexCat voting or unvoting Dizzy?

Vote Pleonast

Oh, I can definitely get behind this lynch.

Well, Pizza, I’m not voting for you so I can’t directly affect the outcome. I’m not going to push for your lynch today. I think Astral and Dizzy are both better, viable lynch candidates.

If you vote for Astral (or Texcat I suppose but see my post above) that would help your own cause. Any reason you won’t?

I won’t tell you not to claim.

TexCat, Astral, your assistance on killing the Pleonast-y would be appreciated by me.

Hmm, I could be convinced to vote for Pleo. I haven’t voted for Pleo because I

a) can’t read Pleo
b) think Pleo’s way of playing Mafia is so diametrically opposite of mine that we aren’t even playing the same game
c) always want to lynch Pleo

but since I always want to lynch Pleo, I kinda want to lynch Pleo. Harrumph.

I was going to ask you if you hadn’t unvoted me for a reason, Pizza. Glad it wasn’t some SuperSekrit message I wasn’t getting…

unless it was…

sigh

At no point during the round did I find either Astral or TexCat scummy.

Voting them now would not be because I thought they were scummy. It may save me but it won’t exonerate me and if the lynch comes around again it won’t save me later.

Should they be scum, it will make me look bad, but I’m fine with that. These are the risks we take when we say things like “Astral looks townie to me”.

I said that when I had no votes and I said that when I had some votes. To reverse course now would be to disavow my real feelings on the matter just to lynch anyone but myself. That’s not how we win games.
