Please don’t get fancy and put any disclaimers, or say Dr. Acula or otherwise try to weasel out. Just type it just like I did, so that we’re testing the theory and not how closely you can get to not quite saying you’ve been bitten.
I just returned from the dentist. Multiple posts and crowns put in, such fun. Times like this I hate my mom for cursing me with terrible teeth.
My project at work is still ongoing, so the early part of this week will probably be insane. It should be fine by the end of the week, before the Day ends though.

There are nine players left now. If four of them were wolves and one of them was Dracula, the town would already be outnumbered, and Dracula would still be alive. Victory = Dracula.

Not right, I’m afraid.
The Vampires (Dracula included) win if (a) Dracula is alive, and (b) all Werewolves have been eliminated. If we’re at 4/4/1 now, Dracula has to find and kill the Werewolves in 4 lynches, before the Town are eliminated by the Nightkills. The Town also have to do this; so the actions necessary for Dracula and the Town to win are the same. Conversely, the Werewolves have to eliminate Dracula to win; the game will continue until Dracula is dead, even if the Wolves outnumber Townspeople plus Dracula.
This makes me think that right now, the Townspeople can’t afford to go searching for Dracula, even if he does exist. Let the Werewolves worry about whether the resident bloodsucker exists or not.
I suspect, however, that we won’t have a 4/4/1 split. Either Dracula does not exist, or there are fewer Wolves to accommodate Dracula. BlaM’s estimate of game balance for a pure vanilla 13/4 starting split suggests that the situation may not be as dire as I had previously believed (thanks BlaM.)
However, I’m not totally dismissing the possibility, as there are some game arrangements that haven’t yet been ruled out.
I need to do a bit of thinking on the setup. I also need to go and buy some food. Back later.

So, here’s the deal. As far as I can tell, the rule requiring each player make a certain number of substantive posts during a Day does not include an exemption for a person who is just about guaranteed to die during that Day. But it’s hard to make substantive posts ni my situation. I could flood the game with semi-relevant posts, but frankly that seems unsporting and unfun to me. So I’m just going to ask directly:

All right, clearly I am confused. Ignore everything I said about Dracula.
This means the Town could, in theory, ALREADY be outnumbered by Wolves, right? (Not that I think they are, because if this is an all-vanilla game, the mods damn well better have cut us a break with the number of Wolves.)
Yes, the Werewolves could already outnumber the Town. But if they outnumber Town and Vampires together, they’ve won.
if (for the sake of example) there were 5 Wolves, all they have to do is vote as a block. They five of them will overwhelm any defence since they outnumber Townspeople and Vampires together, and they lynch one Townsman or Vampire, and kill another at Night until they kill Dracula. If that’s the situation then the Mods should put the game out of its misery, because there’s no gameplay except voting to be done.
I think the Townspeople are still the single largest bloc in the game, but how big that majority is I don’t know.
My thinking has been distracted by the football. Let me think a bit more.
Ok, …FINALLY checking in. I’m gonna have to press to get a good bit of information out over the next few days. First off, the obvious :

Now, next : We need to take careful looks at EVERYONE. I wonder if what story said at the beginning wasn’t true and 3 is the magic number (and I know people have shown point analysis that agrees as well). If thats the case, we have 2 hiding amongst 8. We’re probably going to lose a townie to the night (if no cop, no doc eh?) so that leaves us 7 people to look at. Note for simplicity sake, no dracula is figured in…I’m counting wolves against non right now. That means each townie in game (5) have 6 other people to look at.
All that tells me is boy howdy, I need to review.

And apologies to Shadowfacts, although at the time it was pretty clear what needed to be done. Since I was wrong on that end, I now have nothing really going against Nanook either. I mean, I don’t have anything exonerating him, of course, but my case against him died with Shadowfacts.
Which, in its own little way, sucks.
I’m not going to say “No way, impossible, never gonna happen”…but I will say that I fully expect to hear from story again before Day’s end.
