Maybe Omi should protect our Safety Wolf?
Why does this post worry me so much? What’s the worst thing NAF could be?
Werewolf selling out the town, that’s what.
Yeah. I kind of thought of that, too. I’d adjudge it moderately likely, too. But we can’t just let every player who claims scum off the hook. What can we do?

Um, kill me that’s what.
Actually, this is a big problem with this game. It surfaced, to some extent, in Conspiracy I, and I watched that one from afar and wondered how it would be possible for a Town to win if the scum were really determined that the Town should lose.
Now here we are. If NAF and Drain are Wolves, and have decided between them to sell us out in an “anyone but the Town” move, there’s really nothing we can do. The same is true of every scum player. The only chance we’d have is to guess, lynch someone, and hope they’re Cabal.
Actually, if this is how the game plays out, it’s going to be a depressing, disappointing ending to the game.

A doctor preventing a wolf suicide. That would be amusing.
Well, if DB really wanted to die she didn’t have to vote. (Although that’s an ugly way to win.)
We could, I suppose, no-lynch. That would set up a weird situation. The Wolves would keep killing, but eventually as the number of Townies got whittled down, the Cabal would have to start blocking Wolves in an effort to prevent them from winning. If the Town simply refused to lynch anyone, I think the game could develop into a three-way stalemate.
(If you’re wondering, my interview got moved to 2.)
I don’t see how we can not kill NAF.
And you know, it’s theoretically possible that we’ve actually gotten all the Cabal and just don’t know it. NAF is obviously something, but he could be as claimed. For all we know, after NAF our pet wolf might be our only scum. Of course, we can’t rely on that.

It is an issue in any game with multi scum groups, but I wouldn’t really consider it a big problem. It is just part of the game, and something that we need to account for. If Naf tricks us and we lose to the cabal, it is our fault for being tricked. I’d say having multi scum groups gives the town more advantages than drawbacks, so I won’t feel robbed if we lose due to Naf.
I tend to agree that we can’t let NAF off the hook. I didn’t change votes, after all.
A No Lynch might work here, because that will mean we know the faction of all dead players going into the Night - and PO’s alignment might shed light on NAF’s claim. Or it might tell us nothing (if PO turns up Town).

I can’t explain why it bugs me, but it does. It’s like when I play Monopoly with my wife and brother and sister. If one of them starts to lose, they’ll intentionally make insane offers to my wife - I’ll give you Boardwalk and Park Place and all my railroads in exchange for your Get out of Jail Free Card and a piece of caramel corn - to spite the other two siblings. It’s crappy.

Yeah that bugs me too. I just tend to consider scum to be more anti-town then anti other scum, so it doesn’t bug me here. I consider town losing a small victory for scum, even if that faction doesn’t win. Make sense?

Yeah. I don’t know. I keep thinking - why would NAF do this, if he’s really a Vamp? But I don’t have a better answer.
I guess we could revert to one of the Scotsmen, probably ZSofia, and see what happens when she hangs. Of course, she could be a Wolf, and then we’ve double-screwed ourselves.

See, now to me this is tantamount to claiming Cabal. Just saying. You and cookies are clearly on the same team.
Now town, if you are really worried about a cabal win, kill either her or cookies.
Not that you will, because I am a sure thing, but I am just saying. You do have better options.

Sure, but… you know what? I think I better say no more about this subject, because I’m in the process of designing a game right now and if I give thoughts on game design I might reveal stuff I don’t want to reveal.

This is clever, NAF, what you’re doing here. I think it’s actually kind of awesome, and I am very impressed. I think I can live with this because I think you’re actually still playing to win, whatever you say.
All - we still have an hour, and we’re not locked into anything. Does anyone have any brilliant ideas?
Sure:
Night 1 Peeker (fail)
Night 2 Storyteller (fail)
Night 3 ShadowFacts (Success!)
Night 4 Dotchan (success :()
Night 5 Oredigger77 (fail, but someone else got him)
Night 6 Koldanar (again with the fail)
Bad at this role, I am very very bad at this role.

Bolding mine…Am I missing something here? Omi, our ‘claimed’ protector, didn’t protect me last night. I was targeted by the vampire, and the cabal. Nothing in the rules states the cabal’s block also protects, so why am I still here?

My guess, mass block.

Bah sorry, long lunch, and I’ve been running on the assumption of no mass block.
