Mafia: Conspiracy 2: The Cabal Strikes Back! [Game Over]

Aren’t we okay if Mhaye is still alive? I can’t access the rules from work.

From the Cabal? No.

The relevant part of the Cabal’s win condition is that no more than one Witch remains alive.

One thing I would like to note. I believe, based on Hal’s role, that there were two Werewolves in play at the start of Day Seven.

I doubt that at that time there were more than four non-Town in total (taking into account PO’s faction).

Something to take into account when chewing the gamestate over at Night.

Unless someone wants to change their claim that would be a big fat yepper, and PO came out better than I thought. Woot woot, go town.

Since DB is one of the last wolfies if ONK has the role he says he has (which I seriously doubt) it’s in towns best interest that he protects our confirmed wolfie. Kind of ironic that a claimed townie would be protecting a scummer. Course since I think he is full of hoo don’t see it happening.

And for all of you Little Orphan Annbie Fan Club members get you decoder rings ready.

Aumvj PML $smsms. Nrdy $pbr gpt ypem, O$JP.

Waits for DB and OAW to explode.

I think pretty much any player will agree that coded messages are against the spirit of the game. Now, hiding breadcrumbs in a normal post is one thing, but posting in code is entirely another.

Sheesh. Just go one key to the left on a BB keyboard. Whoopin’ bad a code.

Cripes, some Head and Shoulders will take that dandruff right off of the ol’pelt.

I think some of you folks need a little more fiber in your diet.

truly the night blooming dahlias are a congruent harmony. Grok the cerulean whale!

That may be so, and I’d have no problem if this was decided in future games, but for the record I consulted Pleo before posting #167, and he told me that as long as I was posting in plain text, and not intentionally using a cipher, it would be fine.

I think that’s pretty much exactly what I said.

I have now spent more than 12 hours trying to figure out what coded message of evil you embedded in the above. I have failed, and bow to a skill far defter than my own.

<Bolding mine>

Found it story

Encrypted text does violate the spirit of the game and possibly the policy of the SDMB (which generally requires posting in English). I don’t have game rules against it, though, so there are no sanctions for it. But I’d prefer players avoid doing it, both for fairness in the game and to avoid problems with the jack-booted mods.

Yes, it’s fine to encode a hidden message in a regular post. It’s encryption (incomprehensible without the key) that should be avoided.

Ok. Just trying to inject a wee bit of levity. I mean, sheesh, when I originally composed the post in question my eleven year old looked at it and asked why I was typing one character off.

And another “warning”. I feel like Dennis Rodman (the original Piston not the clown that played for my beloved Spurs) or Bill Lambier.

And I still think that some additional fiber is indicated.

Something I’ve just noticed I never replied to.

It would not have been as switchy for one reason. Neither Storyteller nor I had a vote placed. Additionally, you had reason to know that both of us were online and thinking about votes. So I remain suspicious of you for that reason.

There remain four Unknown, probably containing two Townspeople and two non-Townspeople (assuming that NAF was some variety of anti-Town player). Peeker remains on the list of Unknown because my definition of Known is (in this game) “someone who Pleo has told me the alignment of.” I’m inclined to believe there is a Vicar, and thus to accept his claim, but he is still technically Unknown.

That gives us a two-in-three chance of picking an anti-Town player by lynching in the other three. Good odds.

I’m waiting to see who survives the Night before I do any heavy thinking about which one I want to lynch.

That may be the funniest (and saddest, if you’re not joking) thing I’ve ever read in a Mafia game.

Ah, another beautiful Night has been flittered away, and another cold corpse makes an exit: Koldanar is dead.

And a final note about the late Oredigger77: a Warlock.

Welcome to a Day Eight!

Farewell all…I lasted far longer than I had a right to. Finish off those buggers for me! GO TOWN!

So, a few people might like to start explaining themselves, unless both Omi and Cookies want to say they were blocked.
