Do you find anything I’ve done as particularly scummy, Dizzy? Do you find Meeko’s or Santislaus’ cases against me compelling? Call me crazy, but lack of a compelling case is usually why people don’t feel inclined to vote for someone.

I’m responding as reading, so I don’t know where this has gone if anywhere, but to answer your question…

It’s Day One and taking shots in the dark is how Day One is played.

Coming up with phony baloney reasoning for votes is borderline. I realize people think it’s meaningful at all to have reasons for votes, but here, let me show you something.

I like to make cases, you know that. But there’s little to analyze D1 so, why are we so interested in the phony baloney cases? It’s not needed or necessary this early.

I’m still interested in voting because as that game and many others prove, you can lynch scums D1 and you can do it with very few votes and you can do it without any reasoning whatsoever.

Um, this is ridiculous Pizza, you’re saying that Day 1 and Day 2 we should just vote, but not make any kind of case because the cases don’t matter. You reason that this is a good idea because it worked for you in previous games. So when should we start making cases? What should we base those cases on since everything from Day 1 and Day 2 is worthless? I might as well just vote for everyone else at the beginning of Day 1 since the cases don’t matter.

I believe that was me who said that, and we only know that Story is cherry picking actual current votes for his votecounts now that we’ve actually had an official vote count. I was being optimistic that his vote counts, as they are in many games, would track unvotes as well, but I see he’d rather throw a grenade into a room full of paranoid people instead.

I do have a list of all votes and unvotes (which is at least mostly correct), and can post it if there’s interest.

Really nothing to go on Day 1 at all. We have to vote for someone because it is the way to play, I don’t really understand why but it is. To explain that a bit, how many times does a scum actually slip up Day 1? I imagine not that often the only thing we can do in a game is go back over actions and see the words as they were wrote after a town dies knowing they were truthful.
We have a better than not chance of hitting town Day 1 lynch, the scum have a much better chance nailing a townie Night 1. What benefit does the Day 1 lynch have again? We end up most likely with 2 dead town and a lil’ extra information based on nothing more than what the scum dictated. (Based on them trying to take out “power players”)

Day 2 and on then we have more information, but yeah Day 1 voting and calling someone scum is not a good plan in my opinion.

So getting back to that calling people scum Day 1 point… GuiriEnEspaña had me bothered after

and not removing the vote. But meh, doesn’t really matter as Day 1 is just trying to throw anything into the soup pan to call dinner. But his vicious scum calls on chloie makes me think he is town based on my own past plays*. So as much as I would love to throw a vote as a in yo face, I cannot.

Really, nothing at all has pinged me yet, and I refuse to vote for no reason this time around at least with a lurker I have a reason.

• I still regret a few times, yes more than once I latched onto someone who turned out to be a townie like a pitbull and was ashamed at the reveal.

Yeah, there’s really no point to Day 1. We have no chance of doing anything positive, so why should we even try? Day 1 should really be 20 minutes long, and the first player to get to 1 vote should be lynched. Then we can get on with Day 2, when we actually know something.

I wholeheartedly agree if I wasn’t trying out Pizza’s plan. As the nomination phase leads into the following phases, a nomination records a “likely” vote, and absolutely represents some lynch danger.

As I mentioned to Choie, all votes are nominations but not all nominations are votes, and I tracked them accordingly.

Well, my suspicions continue of choie, and by association texcat and silver. Nothing from choie in 4 days, Silver and Texcat seem quite protective of her here and here, Texcat’s complimentary here. I won’t comment further on choie- she’s given nothing more to comment on and if no-one else is seeing what I’m seeing, I’ll need to just move on for now.

Ok, back from a wasted weekend, but thankfully the pressure is a bit off at work.

However seeing as you seem awfully intent on killing me over pancakes, I’ll just state what I think so far:

• Over pancakes?
• I know your top lynch candidate is wrong, and I am quite convinced Pizza is town as well. I simply don’t see why on earth he would defend me (and so elaborately) as scum. If I’m wrong, sorry. I assume he is trying to save me because he knows how mindbogglingly awesome a mafia player I am, and that he is also town and would like to win.
• Pancakes - seriously?
• I will leave my vote on Orthohedron as my gut tells me he is slightly more likely than average to be scum. If you prefer, I vote him because of ‘syrup’, that’s why. Can’t have pancakes without syrup. Or at the very least jam.
• Right now - if we weren’t trying out Pizza’s plan ™. I’d vote those people with the least participation. But as I can’t figure out an easy way to make a post count on a single thread (excluding sign-ups) and that I’m likely to be out of the game soon, I won’t out of sheer laziness. It seems to me that where town almost always goes wrong on day one is to lynch those who participate the most, giving scum ample hiding room. I strongly believe that in this game, it is a solid strategy to encourage (by the sword) participation. It’s been a loooong while since I last played scum, but as I recall, any minor even (even a single random vote) can send the scum board buzzing, thereby putting pressure on them. Get a bandwagon starting on scum and they will be pondering whether or not to come to the aid of their mate, whether to vote for him/her, or whether to try to ignore the issue.

TL;DR

Please pick another target than ATPG. We are by my persuasion (if not, take that as a compliment, Pizza) both town. At least try to get some info by finding a slightly more likely scum candidate.

My best bet is Ortho., but on D1, it stays a guess.

Unless I missed something in the rules, we have no information about the number of players who are likely to be killed at Night. pizza’s comment looks like a privileged information slip.

Other than that, if I do not survive the Day I can only hope the town doesn’t allow any verbose people to guide the rest of town. If I do survive the Day then toMorrow I and others will have more information to go on to make a more informed choice.

Can you explain your reasons for your vote better? It seems to me that your vote is based on pizza actively playing. We need more active players, not fewer.

The end result should be a clear leader with at least a couple votes more than the second place candidate to prevent vote shifting to save any actual scumbags.

I think is this a poor tactic. Unless we’re at lynch or lose, it’s no great loss to let someone shift votes to save scum. Because we’ll see the shenanigans and be able to react to it.

I mean, from where I sit, you’re just making stuff up. Perhaps you can refer to my specific posts in question when you make such an allegation of deflecting heat.

I think in this case, Pizza means 1 lynch and 1 night kill (and thus two bodies), and brainfarted that he was postulating a lynch-less Day. That’s easier for me to believe than a slip.

But since he’s currently our lynch, that distinction doesn’t much matter. I’d like him dead for other reasons.

Now to defend the other side! Pizza said after a no-lynch day, there would be TWO dead townies. That’s what Pleonast is commenting on. If we don’t lynch, and Pizza has slipped, that means scum can (at least once) perform two night kills, or know of another kill such as third party.

Or, like in Evil Dead 2, they have a teammate who must kill tonight to join their scum boards. That would be two kills right there.
