I disagree with Mahaloth on one point, and it’s an important one. I do not believe most people are lynching Pizza for the plan. Speaking only for myself, my vote is cast for his actions while following the plan, which I believe suggest some level of scummyness. I’ve been questioning, probing, and studying Pizza all Day, and to sum up my vote as “doesn’t like the pizza plan” does me a disservice.

I must admit that I’m just plain unsure about Pizza. I think it’s clear that he’s trying to influence the Town’s decision-making process with the PizzaPlan, but I don’t know if that’s because he’s Scum, or if it’s just his natural tendency to try to take over. I really have no good read one way or the other, though I must admit that this post really bugged me:

That was Monday evening, and we haven’t heard a peep from him since. It’s not like Pizza to be that quiet for so long, and it seems that a Townie Pizza wouldn’t ‘give up’ like that.

You know what? You’re right. This distinction is one which I don’t think I had ever really fully grokked and it has made me go back and reassess *why ***pizza **might be putting forth such unusual and potentially detrimental ideas, not just that he has done so.

Seems to me his policy of allowing poorly reasoned votes on Day 1 is a good way for Scum to avoid accountability for those votes both now and in the future. I know he’s tried to argue that the vote itself provided accountability but this is just not true. If we look back at the votes from Day 1 in the future and try to ascertain whether some votes were based on knowledge of who is Town and which were true stabs in the dark, the reasoning behind the vote is going to be much important than the vote itself.

As such I remain comfortable where my vote is.

You need to address more about why pizza is scum, not why their idea is scummy. But your response makes me feel better about you.

YMMV, but I don’t find self-defense votes worthy of a vote. Town do it in equal proportions to scum, in my opinion.

It seems pretty clear to me that he’s voting in self defense, and he’s hardly the first mafia player to use that justification.

Whether or not that is a good idea on Day 1 vs something like Day 8 is up for debate though. I don’t think he’s going to talk anyone out of suspecting him that way, but I think it is a null tell as far as adding more suspicion to him.

No, Chucara did not explain why they’re voting for scum. In fact they said “I don’t think he is scum”. Townies do not vote for players they don’t think are scum.

And voting to save oneself is not pro-town, unless one has a power role. Did I miss a claim?

Note that if I wanted to save pizza from the lynch, I’d remove my vote from them. I was happy with a pizza (or RyJae) lynch, and because of Chucara’s admittedly anti-town vote, I’m happy to lynch them as well.

Just to reiterate in case I die:

I know I’m town. I think Pizza is also town, but I’m obviously not sure. It makes perfect sense for me to push pizza to the gallows over me, as there at the very least is a chance I’m reading him wrong and he might be scum.

Since he hasn’t claimed, I’m assuming he is also vanilla.

**Askthepizzaguy **is townie. I will not vote to spare myself this game due to being vanilla townie, the alternative might be a town power role. So my role is no more useful than any other, and as such, it’s not wise to vote for someone just to save me. Not worth saving.
