That should be the post count starting from Post 156, which was story’s ‘Day 1’ post.
I plan to keep counts for each Day (and Night), so I can post them for those who are interested.

I’m definitely interested in seeing them.
Wait, you misunderstand the reason for my vote. It’s anti-town to vote players for their anti-town (or not) ideas. Because discussing ideas is the basis of the game.
It’s not anti-town to vote players for their anti-town motivations. Discerning motivation is hard, but it’s the only true way to distinguish scum from town (without a power). If you really think that a player is suggesting anti-town ideas because they are scum, then say so and that’s fine. (If you can make such a case about pizza, please do.) But my experience tells me that vigorous advocacy of anti-town ideas is almost always by town.
That’s one of the funniest things about this game.
QFT.
I think it is a niche strain of gallows humor.
So I voted for a “valid reason” but it’s not useful so it’s “stupid” “weak” and “barely defensible.” Nice.
My original reason was that Pizza, bless him, was all over the place taking charge of things with his Guiri-instigated plan. Call me an anarchist but I chafe when I see someone leading people in certain directions. I admit the truth is, this is what ATPG does, he’s a passionate player and it’s hard for him not to overwhelm, but I can’t help it if that sort of thing sets my teeth on edge and makes me worry that we’re being played like he’s the Pied Piper.
Subsequently, as I just wrote about twenty posts ago, I’ve said that his overdefensive and oddly hostile (and unsatisfying) responses to questions are firming up my resolve against him. That’s the best you’re gonna get from me on a D1 vote short of a slip. Although his possibly perfect knowledge trip-up regarding how many deaths we’ll see if we don’t lynch anyone Today could possibly be a slip, but I don’t expect that of him.
A real slip is the kind of thing that I’ve seen from the other person I’ve been voting for, IMHO.
She reeeeeeally doesn’t like being voted or suspected. It’s a null tell for her, in my experience. OTOH I did get a snuggly vibe from her and TexCat, but it’s hard not to appreciate being defended when I’m being ridiculously accused by someone acting like a spittle-flecked preacher screaming his head off at a girl for wearing pants instead of a dress, so my own judgment may be off.
And speaking of our own Pat Robertson…
This guy who simply cannot go two posts without mentioning my name. He’s even voting other people just because they talk to me. I’d be flattered if I weren’t worried we’re getting into Mark David Chapman stalker territory here.
Again you’ve got it backwards, chumly, and you know it – it’s way worse to be called out as scum before I’ve posted when I’m Town, than if I were scum. But because you’ve put on a Van Helsing costume to disguise your furry body, with me as your chosen target for some reason, you’re twisting every single thing I’m saying waaaaaay more than I’m “misconstruing” your posts.
You’ve decided from just about your first post in the game to go after me, either as a result of previous encounters or because you know I’m town thanks to your scummitude. And you’re just not letting up with the over-the-top accusations in practically every other post. You even voted for two other people just because they basically said “WTF is with this obsession, dude?” Something is truly off about you in this game and this monomania is convincing me you’re either unbelievably scummy, like, mafioso (or whatever the equivalent would be in a werewolf-based game… Alpha? Top Dog?), or… well, I can’t think of any other reason. Oh, maybe just grudgy.
Total bull. You’ve got enough smudging to be my cell phone screen. All you’ve done all game is recast everything I’ve said in order to get on my wick, starting with that first post.
OMG please, I don’t need to reread your screeds, which are basically like The Protocols of the Choies of Zion. “Not confirming is not a scum tell, never was,” except when it’s me, and I’m not confirming because I’m scum, according to your smudge–or sorry, “poke.”
I’ve said that I know you didn’t vote for me for not confirming; you voted for me for the unbelievably flimsy reason that I replied to what you charmingly call a “poke.” You gave me precisely one post before you voted me for not contributing enough, and you’ve been trying to bolster that pathetic “pancakes”-level vote ever since.
So yes, I’m voting you for both your inconsistencies and your double standards. And now I’m voting you for being cookoo for Cocoa Puffs. I cannot wait to be NKed (probably by you) and flip. People will see how big your teeth are, grandma.
Ugh, and I don’t even know why I’m bothering. It’s just that your constant me-slurring is getting really freaking tiresome, and even poor Tex and Jan are getting hit by your sprays of shrapnel aimed in my direction. Ah well. Even if everyone steps off ATPG and switches onto me, I’m ready to stand on the gallows with a serene yet knowingly J’accuse-esque smile in your fang-wearing direction.
[OOG]Before I forget, best of luck to you tomorrow, USCDiver. I’ll be thinking of you![/OOG]
When did we stop playing mafia?
@Chucara, Sorry for the dyslexic misspelling of your name, but I still think you look like scum.
Re: Choie. I did NOT defend Choie. I did needle Guiri a couple of times about his self-proclaimed obsession with her. I thought I added a smilie to those posts, but maybe I forgot it.
Unvote RyJae
I prefer Pizza or Chucara. I’ll further narrow down before the lynch tomorrow.
No, it isn’t. Espousing means to support ideas, not lay them out there for discussion. Voting someone for discussing ideas is bad; voting for someone who supports an anti-town idea is not bad.

Day One will (finally!) end tomorrow, Wednesday, January 30, promptly at 2:00PM whether or not I am around to end the day right at that moment. No votes or unvotes placed after 2:00PM will count, and strategy discussion should stop at that time.
Thanks!
I’m not overly thrilled with the cases against any of the 3 in lynch contention.
The case against **Pizza **boils down to disagreements over his play style and personality - he hasn’t actually done anything scummy. I won’t be voting for him.
**Chucara’s **early pancakes vote could have simply been a joke, or it could have been a subtle anxiousness to put a vote down and appear to be participating in Pizza’s plan. That gives me a small ping of scumminess; I think he’s slightly more likely than **RyJae **to be scum.
I don’t really read much into **RyJae’s **initial skimming comment, and I just don’t find her play that scummy either.
So out of those 3:
Vote Chucara
And I also want to
Vote Babale
in support of my early nomination and the case I made earlier. I think he’s more likely to be scum than any of the top 3, actually.
You know what? You’re right. This distinction is one which I don’t think I had ever really fully grokked and it has made me go back and reassess *why ***pizza **might be putting forth such unusual and potentially detrimental ideas, not just that he has done so.
Seems to me his policy of allowing poorly reasoned votes on Day 1 is a good way for Scum to avoid accountability for those votes both now and in the future. I know he’s tried to argue that the vote itself provided accountability but this is just not true. If we look back at the votes from Day 1 in the future and try to ascertain whether some votes were based on knowledge of who is Town and which were true stabs in the dark, the reasoning behind the vote is going to be much important than the vote itself.
As such I remain comfortable where my vote is.
Warning: Drive by voting. (I’m at work)
Given that there is just one vote seperating myself and Pizza - I have no choice but to vote for Pizza. I don’t think he is scum, but I know I am not.
[vote]Askthepizzaguy[/vote]
Sorry pizza if you are town.
Should pizza happen to be a power role, I will gladly take his place if needed, unvote pizza, and vote myself.
When is deadline? (I know it’s 2 PM, but which time zone)
NETA:
vote Askthepizzaguy
Right, time to make a choice.
I’m currently voting for Ryjae, Cookies and Babale. But who do I want to lynch most?
Cookies: There’s an OMGUS element to this, but I genuinely believe that a) she misinterpreted my case on Babale - itself not a problem and b) didn’t update her conclusion when her premise was shown to be false. Unwillingness to change a vote isn’t *necessarily *a scum trait, but I find it alarming when it happens to me. However, in the cold light of day I have to admit there’s an emotional component to this vote.
Ryjae: The initial “skimming is scummy but it’s not” post is smudgy; subsequently Ryjae admits to easing off on posting to get heat off him, and then this:
To be honest, I have difficulty seeing scum actually admit to a)lurking to avoid votes and b) deliberately posting unhelpfully. It feels more like disgruntled Town. And I don’t really like votes that are based on just one post. (Unless it’s “Hey fellow Scum, wouldn’t it be funny if I posted this on the wrong board!”)
Having talked myself out of two votes, I’m left with Babale. Luckily I’m pretty happy with this:
unvote Cookies
unvote Ryjae
I don’t really get a scum vibe off Pizza or Chucara - I think they’ve both attracted votes mainly for unorthodoxy, (random voting and “the Plan”). Pizza’s confusion over how many fewer Townies “waiting till tomorrow” to begin lynching would result is suggestive, but PIS so rarely pans out it doesn’t overcome my overall Town feel.
If I were to vote for Chucara, it would be for his and Babale’s mutual vote/unvote session - but as that’s led by my suspicion of Babale, I’d rather confirm that first.
I know we’re close to the end of the Day, but I would ask people to look again at Babale, who I think is a more viable lynch candidate than our leaders.
I don’t believe Askthepizzaguy is scum. Call it a feeling, or a twing, or a ping, or a twinge. Whatever. That’s about as good of a reason as you’re going to get on Day 1. I think the majority of the votes haven’t been about anything he said, but because he’s the name behind the creation of the test some of us are trying this game.
I’m not going to rend my garments and throw myself into a pyre should he be lynched and flip Town. But I think we’ll have lost a valuable player simply because he had a theory people didn’t like. Like Copernicus.
That is certainly the (substantial) risk of any Day 1 lynch.
Goddamn if I don’t always find your posts persuasive. You know just the words to tempt me to your case. But I find Chucara more scummy than Babale, and of the two prefer Chucara swing. Babale’s responses ring more true to me.
[oog]Sorry I’ve been away, work has been nuts. [/oog]
At this time I find it ever so slightly more likely that Pizza is town than chucara.
But I also see myself swayed by arguments that Babale could be scum.
So in relative order of scumminess:
vote Babale
vote Chucara
Unfortunantly - If Pizza is Town his ‘ aggressive’ entranced ( even though he did not introduce the “ pizza plan” into this game) – leaves some players “fine” with his demise Day One
If he’s Scum his fellows are not going to aggressively try to swing the vote at this early stage in game
