Mafia - Game in progress [Edited title]

Is it too late for me to put some writings on the barn? I have a few things, I’d like to put there :stuck_out_tongue:

As I said, no hard feelings. Part if me is kinda relived you killed me, I’m not too big a fan of the single-threaded format.

Game setup seems great from what limited knowledge I have about it. Thanks for the game, story!

I agree with you there Chucara, the single thread is KILLING me. I’m finding it very confusing to find things, and go back and re-read.

It’s funny how you love what you’re used to. I prefer the SDMB for looks & aesthetic, and am a bit disoriented at the usual proboards multi-thread games.

My approach of never taking notes and always flying by the seat of my pants and at the whim of my memory is equally effective/ineffective in both mediums.

The Geeb is the best set up, I think, as it allows for a thread per Day/Night while still letting you quote freely from any of those Days, unlike IdleBoards where you have the Day/Night threads but quotes between those threads require special handling. But, the Geeb has the annoying multi-quote behavior, and as cool as the vote-counting robot is, it is crawling with gremlin hamster bugs and cannot be trusted. And for some reason my enjoyment level for Geeb games is way lower than games played here or on Idleboards.

Sorry - I got dragged away from my desk at what was going to be my last window to post, but I don’t think it would have made any difference to the result.

I’m only really used to playing here - and never having learned a better way, I can’t complain about what I’ve got. Secret to happiness - ignore any rumours of a better option.

Cookies, that’s my problem…being a semi new player still (This is game 4+5 for me) I’m a notes taker, and I like to read and re-read everything. I’m finding that very difficult here, because 1- I have literally no time right now, and 2- this setup is confusing…

I’m very thankful for the “show first unread post” I’d be lost without that button! I’m pulling up my big girl panties though and muddling through!

Dizzy, you can always bookmark specific posts, like beginnings of Day and Night.

I can’t remember shit in my everyday life.

I remember my mafia friends probably because I have no IRL friends.

You folks are more real to me than real life because if I feel threatened or attacked by you I can hit the ignore button. (or really, just scrollpast) I can’t do that with people IRL. So I open myself up more on here, which allows me to form more connections emotionally and mentally to what’s going on.

Sort of like how you can remember what you did on your birthday but not what you did the day before. One day meant more to you than the other, so you remembered it.

I remember De’endee. Even if there are parts I don’t want to remember. You take the good with the bad.

Choie talks herself into trouble. Not because she’s a bad player, but because of how the rest of us react to her. Kind of like me…

That being said, can’t find the choie self-vote in De’endee…

Now I am worried. That means my brain is melting under an excessive amount of pizza cheese. I am usually good for little details like that.

The self-criticism and downplaying of her skills is consistent though. Another one of them folks afflicted with excessive modesty.

Dude! We could’ve used your thinking process earlier. Dang your weird hours!

Heh. I’m telling you, it was the vote/unvote in the same post that caused the kerfuffle. And that’s what was so frustrating to me at the time – if I’d been smarter, or wanted to hide anything, once I changed my mind by the end of writing the post, I could have just removed the initial blue “vote ___” text before hitting the “submit” button. But writing is how I think things through and it simply never occured to me not to share that full thinking process. I figured it’d be understood as sincere and helpful.

Almost touchingly naive, huh?

Indeed, my modesty is what makes me so fantastically awesome!

Sorry for missing EOD.

Fluff.

For the record, I predict that this game ends when the number of zombies is larger than the number of non-zombies, and everybody else gets their brains eaten.

Modern day mummification… that’s the answer.

  1. Order a crew of Israelites, Israelis just won’t do.
  2. Have them build you a pyramid.
  3. Get mummified when you kick the bucket.
  4. Arise as an undead mummy and control the zombies.
  5. ???
  6. Profit.

It’s been day for 22 minutes! C’mon, Storyteller!

He’s not even online. :frowning:

Edited to add – oh, he might be, maybe he’s just invisible.

I’m here, I’m writing

Great!

Dawn, Day Three

*EXT – The dirt road running through the center of Town. The camera begins at one end. It moves slowly past each of the characters we’ve met so far, at least, minus the ones that are no longer, technically, alive. It passes by the increasingly cruddy remains of Askthepizzaguy, who in spite of his increasing level of decay seems upbeat as ever as he chews on what might once have been a rat.

It passes the fresh earth wherein Chucara was buried after the unfortunate events of the previous Dusk, and pauses there… but the soil remains still and undisturbed.

Finally it tracks to the barn. At the base of the barn are no fewer than three bodies: the first, mutilated, the second, blown apart from the center, and the third, skull caved in at the rear. All are quite dead.*

Silver Jan, a Peasant Redshirt; and
Enderw24, a Peasant Redshirt; and
Ryjae, a Peasant Redshirt

have all been killed in the Night.

Finally, the camera tracks up from the macabre scene at the base of the barn, the music building. There is only one message here, written in bright red in clear block letters. It reads as such:

Stanislaus is a Wolf, but not the Alpha.

CUT TO: Stanislaus, picking a grey hair from his eyebrow. He looks at the barn.

STANISLAUS
Oh, boy.

Day Three begins here, and will end on Thursday, February 14, at 2:00PM Eastern. Have fun!

Farewell guys. With the town vig dead, 3 deaths is worrisome.

Stanislaus, anything to say besides “Oh, boy.”?

Does anyone want to claim authorship of the message?

Q- Quantum Leap theme
We get to dance with the ’ is the barn comment a truth or a lie’ half the Day

and it won’t be resolved until Stan is dead- bet he’s lovin’ this
