Very little is becoming apparent to me regarding the wagon patterns. Need more hard data before I can accurately assess anything.

One thing that jumped out at me, though: gnarlycharlie was part of the Mosier wagon on Day 1, the PetW wagon on Day 2, and the MHaye wagon on Day 3.

He was the fourth vote on Mosier, only 5 posts after Suburban Plankton. Here’s that vote for context:

i find septimus more suspicious but Mosier has a slightly better chance at being lynched and EOD is near.

assuming the three kills were by scum because the Demon Lord killed them all or PIS slip? let’s put more pressure.

His third wagon was for MHaye, and he was again the third vote. This wagon is admittedly a little tenuous: Weedy kicks it off at post 1948, Normal hops on at 2050, and gnarlycharlie places his vote at 2099. That’s an awful lot of posts in between, so it wasn’t really an explosive wagon. Let’s check out that vote for context:

i didn’t realize NAF’s absence. it certainly rubs me the wrong way that comes in to vote and disappear. i thought he said he’d be away though so i’ll take it as face value. while i understand Toejam’s vote, i’m giving NAF the benefit of the doubt.

i am troubled by the way MHaye seemed to make it seem that Toejam’s vote for NAF was suspicious when it was fairly clear to me that it was NAF’s kind of participation that Toejam was against.

What bothers me about all of these votes is how contentless they are. On Day 1 he acknowledges Suburban Plankton’s case, but on Days 2 and 3 his votes seem particularly weak and lacking. Couple that with being a middle-of-the-road safe wagon voter, and he starts to look pretty suspicious.

I certainly don’t want to hurt you, but this is exactly the sort of overreaction that just makes you seem like such a “oh my stars and garters” sort of person. Do you really not see how much your hysteria is harming your arguments? Do you think you can win people over by screaming and acting like you’re Joan of Arc feeling the flames licking at her feet?

The reason I almost hope you’re Scum is that I don’t want this level of furious outrage to be genuine; I’d rather it be an act, because if it isn’t… it may be wise to let an hour or so pass before you compose your replies. Because instead of coming across as a Townie who’s “one of the only people who actually gives a damn for Town” (a charming remark indeed), you’re becoming a distraction and thus are wasting our time and efforts to find actual Scum.

The fact that the Triple Votes were placed during the Day on Day 2 (first on Guiri, then on Astral) would imply that the votes *should *appear as they are placed. Also, the fact that nobody ended Day 2 with the triple-vote on them suggests they are not mandatory.

As far as the End of Day yesterDay, I don’t think there’s any great mystery. the vote stood at **MHaye **5, Silver Jan 3 at Dusk, so presumably whoever is behind the triple-votes decided MHaye was a better target than Silver Jan, and decided that it was worth their while for us to know that (else they could have just not voted at all).

Pizza, are we supposed to be seeing the triple-votes in ‘real time’ (or as close as possible), or are they supposed to be hidden until EoD? Or is that at the discretion of the voter(s)?

My guess is that the lateness of Pizza’s Day 1 post may have misled the Triple-voter into thinking his vote would be concealed till EOD. In Day 2, he quickly changed his vote to confuse us when he found out differently. Since then, he’s probably been waiting till near EOD to vote. (I write “he” though “they” is probably more likely … and “she” unlikely? )

Near last Dusk, assuming MHaye and Silver Jan are both Town, the triple-voter almost had to vote or we could conclude both MHaye and Silver Jan are Town. (If Jan were Scum, triple-voter might have accepted the slight risk of last-minute vote change and non-chalantly abstained, hoping we’d conclude he didn’t care.)

okay, i will reply to various posts without quoting them.

1. my PM exchange with Gadarene

it would be much easier to deny or say he faked the PMs but i won’t. what he quoted was correct. i did lie to him. why? i just wanted to feel him out. i’ve been leery of him since our game in Idle. i didn’t trust him and i wanted to see his reactions. seriously, as someone said earlier, why should i volunteer my information? the info he offered was not really useful. all this talk of volunteering that he was a power role is no biggie. no powers mentioned. also, i’ve talked to someone who said you can advance from a soldier to another class. i wouldn’t be surprised if we all had powers.

so why didn’t i reply after that? well i was waiting for his reply. since he didn’t i thought he was no longer interested. i had others who were more responsive. as to my delay in replies, the answer is pretty simple. i’m not on as much as he is and my time zone is rare. i’m opposite EDT. the only one who has a similar time is septimus. i usually cannot reply immediately. sometimes, i try to stay up just to be around when everyone else is.

2. my healing

obviously some people think i’m not scummy. i doubt if they would come out and say so because being associated with me seems to be a risky proposition.

3. my contentless votes

if voting bugs you, well, i can’t really change that. my question to those who have played with me before, i ask if i have played differently. maybe i’m a poor player. am i necessarily a scummy one?

4. my role

the only one who i would probably share my role with is Astral but since he has been attacking me, i don’t think that will be fruitful. maybe i can tell fubbles. at worst he’s third party.

Real time is not guaranteed and usually downright impossible, if I’m away from my desk for 18 hours or more.

They are sent via PM and anytime before the deadline is legal, which means they can be hidden from view until end of day.

That matches what I have as well.

Regarding the Wrath of Demon:

Those who have not participated or checked in with the moderator for three days may be slain by the Demon without further notice, at the moderator’s discretion.

By my count, the last time we heard from some people was:

So it seems to me that it’s been 3 1/2 days since the single post by lilflower, so she ought to have expired already. Unless, that is, she has “checked in with the Moderator” but not posted in the game thread.

I certainly hope that isn’t the case, because that’s not cool.

Quick question: why did you offer up your lawful/neutral/chaotic alignment to Gadarene (whether you were being truthful or not or whatever), but not mention your good/neutral/evil alignment? Or did you, and I missed it. I find it curious that you left that out, though not, I should say, because it makes me think you’re Scum… because if you were, you’d have just lied about that too. It makes me think that you are not Scum in game alignment, but are Evil in “moral alignment.”

Am I right?
