Lord Phere summoned a powerful, dark orb of energy, and it split off into three dark energy balls. Each one met its target, and Believerer, NAF1138, and Red Skeezix were utterly obliterated.

*An orb of **Light **collided with Fubbleskag, but the entire energy ball was **absorbed **completely!

*“Ha ha! Your attack doesn’t even *hurt *me, stupid demon!”
Fubbleskag recovered zero hp.

*An orb of **Water *collided with Glee, and Glee shrugged off the blow.

“I’m still quite Gleeful!”

Glee took 75hp damage.

*An orb of **Earth **slammed into Tanaer, and Tanaer shrugged off the blow.

*“Your attack means nothing to me, my Lord!”
Tanaer took 75hp damage.

*An orb of **Fire **slammed into Suburban Plankton, and it was absolutely devastating. Suburban Plankton was knocked to the ground, and was nearing death.

Suburban Plankton took 300hp damage.
A crowd gathered around Gnarlycharlie.

“Hey fellas. What’s with all the hostile looks on your faces?”

Mosier was slain by Lord Phere (He ate his own brains to death.)

An orb of magic power slammed into Scathach, who shrugged off the blow as best she could.

“Yeouch. Who did that?”

Scathach took 100hp damage.

*A pair of fighters approached the **Demon Lord, **who was occupied with laughing his ass off at the sight of Mosier eating his own brains. They used this opportunity to launch a vicious attack against the Lord.

A** heavy blow *struck Lord Phere in the ankle, causing him to lose his footing, and fall to one knee.
“GAH!!!”

Lord Phere took 150hp damage.
*Another **blow *struck Lord Phere in the back, as he was prone.

“Urg.”
Lord Phere took 100hp damage.
“Why you little… I’ll smash you good. SMASH SMASH SMASH!!!”

Lord Phere was quite angry at the cheap shot, and began wildly swinging his giant sword around. The Adventurers took this opportunity to get the hell out of there…

The Aftermath:

Believerer, NAF1138, and Red Skeezix were [COLOR=Blue]a Cleric, a Soldier, and a Mage of Light, respectively, and all were Good Adventurers.[/COLOR][/FONT]**[COLOR=Indigo]

They took a careful look at Mosier’s remains, which had finally finished twitching. It seems that he had finished polishing off his own brains, and died after swallowing the last bite. He seemed to have gathered some armor, likely taken from the bodies of the dead, and was now dressed as a Knight.

Still, there was nothing about him which indicated that he was behind their misfortunes, other than his penchant for snacking on human brains. Indeed, he looked just as much an innocent victim as he did the last time he was slain. They were forced to conclude that he was an honest, decent, hungry, and brainless… Good Adventurer.
**Gnarlycharlie **was a bit more of a mystery. It seemed he was dressed in stealthy robes, and armed with an array of blades and poisons. He was clearly a skilled Assassin.

It seemed clear from the bloody sword that he was behind at least one of their deaths. But was it part of the conspiracy involving the dreaded Lord Phere? Was he simply trying to survive? Or was he some other kind of threat? There was not much evidence of a conspiracy, and other than his occupation, there didn’t seem to be anything particularly malevolent about him. Still, they concluded his motivation was probably mere survival. Sadly, his goal was not achieved. He was a Neutral Adventurer.

There was a large amount of personal correspondence found in his quarters. Whoever he was, he was not just interested in his own survival. Someone else clearly meant a lot to him…

I wonder if askthepizzaguy might solicit a co-mod for this game? Hoopy Frood for example? I hate to sound like Gadarene but I think the nebulous EOD and EON periods are wreaking havoc on both user participation and motivation. I totally understand that pizza is doing us a favor (and I’ve always defended his tough schedule) but I hate to see the enthusiasm for the game dropping steadily.

Plus, I really really really do not like that players are being asked to come up with the tallies ourselves. I mean, I don’t mine our regular in-progress vote counts, but official tallies should never come from players themselves. That’s just asking for trouble, especially in a game like this, where presumably it’s only the game mod who really knows who’s double-voting or single voting or half-voting or voting while doing the rhumba wearing a hat made out of fruit, or whatever the other options may be. If pizza opens up to a partner – obviously not one of the players (alive or dead, assuming the dead might be brought back as that’s obviously the game mechanism) – then perhaps with a partner or assistant, pizza will have an easier time of keeping track of stuff without having to rely on obviously biased and not-always-accurate players*.

• No offense to Guiri or Visorslash, but we’re all biased, and presumably most of us are in the dark one way or the other.

I’m not sure I understand this, but let me try…

**Mosier **told us that he was now a Zombie Knight, and that he had gained a double-vote.

You’re claiming that you (Normal) are a Knight, and that’s what gives you the double-vote.

And since **glee **has told us he’s a Knight, that means he should have a double-vote as well (and so did lilflower, which has since been Mod-confirmed).

And **Visorslash **may or may not still have a double-vote, because he claims to have changed class at some point, but we don’t know when, or whether or not that affected his ability.

I have to say I don’t get it either. I’m sure there are other reasons that he’s pinging on so many people, but the Killing of Gadarene just doesn’t bother me as much as it does others. I thought Gad was quite scummish throughout most of the game, and we know he was attacking gnarlycharlie, so why is it impossible to believe that gnarlycharlie thought he was worth a vig kill?

I mean yeah, gnarlycharlie may be scum, I can’t deny that; every one of us could be scum, even the Towniest Townsperson in Towntown. But if I could I’d’ve stabbed Gadarene myself if it’d get him to stop CAPSLOCKing and bitching at pizza.

And I know that’s hypocritical since I just sorta bitch at pizza myself. But it was more productive than Gadarene’s bitchery, not to mention those freakin’ ellipses posts.

Actually you know what, even if he didn’t bitch at pizza, those ellipses posts were worth a vig kill all by themselves. So consider me Team gnarlycharlie, at least as far as killing Gad goes.

Almost correct. I’m now a White Knight, which has the same ability. But if Visor is telling the truth about having changed class, then he should no longer have the double vote, because you can’t get to white knight unless you’re lawful/good; and he’s done too many attacks to remain there.

Yes. Those of us who are Town are biased for Town; if you’re Scum, you’re biased for Team Scum; if you’re third party, you’re biased for 3rd party (or just yourself). Sorry, didn’t think it was that difficult to parse.

Now that Day is finally over, here’s my Normal theory that I said I wanted to confirm/deny today:

Normal has, as far as I recall, voted for the lynch winner (or should I say, loser) every single time since the game began. Sometimes her choice is helped by the triple voter; sometimes the triple voter follows her unnecessarily. But whoever the triple voter is, s/he is doing everything possible to either a) make Normal look very bad, or b) ensure Normal’s choices get lynched.

So, of these two options:

1. Normal is Town and someone is framing her.

2. Normal is Scum and she’s manipulating the votes very sloppily and obviously. To the point where it’s almost impossible to believe she’s scum. Which means she could be scum if you want to get all WIFOMy about it.

I strongly suspect #1 is the simplest and most likely scenario. This is my theory that is mine.

In other news, Gnarlycharlie was apparently an Assassin with… what, a partner? Isn’t that like a Mason role? Can you have Mason assassins? Or is the implication that he was an Assassin with an allegiance to Phere?

Finally, I’m sorry to see Mosier go, as he appears to have still been Town, but truth is, though I mourned his original lynching, I can’t feel too bad about this second one. Phere added him in and I suspect had some ulterior motive for making him a zombie. I’m frankly astonished that everyone jumped to follow me – that never happens

All in all a weird Day. Fubbles absorbs a huge attack, Suburban gets a massive wallop but stays standing… I wish I was as hardy. That’s why I say

We really aren’t doing very well in this game, are we.

It does looks as if** Normal** is being set up, if what** choie** says is accurate, and** Normal** is Town. I can’t see her as being a double voter and a triple voter at the same time. If she is scum and scum have the triple vote that just seems way overpowered. I don’t really think** Normal** is scum though. Poor Mosier, dying twice in one game and I voted for him, my other choice was gnarly and he wasn’t lying when he said he was 3rd Party.

The only good thing about all the deaths is that we have fewer players to focus on, yeah, I know it’s not really good, just trying to be positive.

This game is unbelievably frustrating. I don’t understand what anyone is doing or why.

It makes no sense to me that gnarlycharly finished with only two lynch votes but got slammed with attacks and killed, but of course we can do nothing with it because the attacks are not traceable and thus no one can be called to account for them.

It makes no sense to me that everyone is more concerned with tracking classes and roles and sharing information privately than actually playing the Mafia part of the game.

It makes no sense to me that Astral Rejection suggested that gnarlycharly “maximize town’s information gains” by sending a freaking private PM with information to two separate people instead of just actually telling everyone.

Incidentally, why are we assuming that the triple vote is Scum-aligned or even that it is a function of player action? There could be any number of reasons for the triple vote, but everyone has jumped to assuming that it’s a player action - and a Scum action, which holy shit is that overpowered if it’s actually a Scum power - and is making guesses about people’s alignments based on it. Although choie’s theory is a fine one as a working hypothesis… I have no idea why she waited this long to share it, though. What was gained?
