i told you what i know.
I was relayed details of a win condition that was not a scum win condition and not a town “eliminate all scum and other threats”-type win condition. It was a win condition that was consistent with fubbleskag’s behavior. I drew an inference.
I’m not going to out the pm exchange that provided me with the information.
And how the fuck does any of this make me scummy, anyway?
Jesus.
Oh, and what was the point of my accusation? BECAUSE I WANTED TO SEE HOW HE REACTED, GENIUS.
Hey everyone, just posting to say that I am right in the middle of preping my second final project for the semester and will be too busy to play for…probably the rest of the Day. I promise that I will be here for Day 3 and that I will be caught up and ready to play for a little while at least.
In the absence of a quality vote to put down I will vote to
** abstain **
I haven’t read the thread at all since my last posting, and I am not going to put my name to a vote I don’t have a feel for.
There there, Gadarene. I know it’s tough when you’re scum and all the accusations against you suck rocks.

What about when your town and all the accusations against you suck rocks? Is it tough then?
Heh. Crappy accusations against me as town tend to make me just a wee bit unhinged.
Speaking of which, care to elaborate on your vote, and my proposed strategy?
In a little while, I’m too busy right now to write a long post.
question for you: how many players would you guess to have such a win condition in this setup?
This is going to be a popularity contest on its face.
Scum has the upper hand here ( see previous post)

Although I appreciate the private inquiries, if I don’t have a ‘Town feel’ for you I hesitate to help you gain an item.
*Generic you
does an item vote count as a vote toward experience?
More than one. I couldn’t guess beyond that.
I will vote to give the items to people who are strong Town leans of mine. I’m not sure how many of those I have at the moment.
The distinction that you don’t seem to be getting here is the difference between “knowing” something and “being told” something.
If you ***know ***that **fubbleskag **is 3rd Party, that’s one thing. But if somebody just told you, that’s something else entirely.
Originally, you presented the case as if you knew that fubbleskag was 3rd Party. But when he called you on it and demanded you present your evidence, you backed off and claimed that you got the information from somebody else, implying that it wasn’t you who was responsible for the information, it was your anonymous informant.
So it seems like you’re talking out of both sides of your mouth. And *that *strikes me as Scummy behavior.
This is a flat out fucking lie.
Quoted for Suburban’s lie.
What does “I have reason to believe” mean in your word, Suburban?
In your world, obviously.
Hmmm…a lot to think about here. At least for me. I know it’s early in the day, but there has been a lot of focus on the items, which may or may not be valuable to most players (obviously if there is a 3rd party with the winning condition to have the most items, that is a different story to them). For my part, I am more than willing to give my vote(s) away to the people that lean town the most to me.
But I am concerned about the night actions, most of all. There was a lot going on. Visorslash and PetW were attacked by other players. PetW deflected his attack. So he was somehow protected…PetW, do you have a special item or do you think someone may have protected you?
Either way, that is at least two players with night attacks.
And then the two kills. One was in battle, which would seem to me to be like a normal scum night kill. The other was slain by magic. Could it be a vig kill, where the vig gains “control” of the demon lord for a night kill? Or a possible one shot extra kill? Town? PFK?
Thoughts? It would be nice as a collective town to come up with an idea of some of the powers floating around…
The lack of good faith cooperation to solve the game always astounds me in SDMB-related games of Mafia.
Fact: MOST OF US ARE TOWN. Why don’t we act that way?
I bring up something I heard which bears (to my mind) on fubbleskag’s role, and try to broach it in a way that doesn’t immediately lay my cards on the table because it’s easier for him to respond/rebut “I heard xxx about a win condition” rather than “I have reason to believe you’re a Third Party,” and I want to see his reaction to the statement. And yet I get pounded for not being transparent, even when I have explicitly stated everything I know and how I know it.
Maybe trust that I know what I’m doing, huh? Maybe give me some leeway to see how it plays out. I swear, people are entirely unwilling to assess things based on tone here.
