Not really.
NAF1138 is probably scum.
Gadarene, dude, I think you’re Town, but you’re not helping your own case with these one-line, “she’s scum” “He’s not scum” posts. How about some reasoning, some thought, some anything other than whether so-and-so is scum or not?
vote blue pendant to Silver Jan - because I don’t think she’s scummy, and after Normals last several posts I think Normal is.
BTW I don’t suppose anyone’s willing to add up the current hp status of the group, huh? I’ve done my bit of homework, anyone else care to?
Choie, my dear, my sweet — it was a comment on how once Guiri put his seal of approval on the Astral bandwagon, all of sudden it was twice the size as previously. And most of those votes, not to mention the two previously, didn’t amount to much more than “oh yeah Astral, guess I’ll vote Astral”. It’s like uber-townie Guiri says it’s all right to vote Astral and it gives a bunch of other players cover to do the same. You mean to tell me not one of the four of you has the slightest interest in anyone else who’s gotten votes? No way. I’ve seen it happen before and I don’t like it. It’s entirely possible that Astral is scum, mind you – some here may remember the Blaster Master wagon in Mystery Mafia, a full HALF of which were bussing scum – but the bandwagon as it stands is kinda not so good. My suspicion of Weedy and ToeJam in particular has increased substantially, but really all of you.
Who voted Astral on day one?
i see Astral is up by a landslide. this triple-voter power has put us at an uncomfortable position. i see that he hasn’t claimed or did i miss that?
after some thought i’ve decided that attacking Lord Phere is not a worthwhile endeavor. no matter what sick twists Pizza has for us, the fact remains that this game can be won by playing the game and lynching and/or killing scum. that means we don’t need to use our abilities, which includes attacking, to win. ergo, we don’t need to kill Lord Phere.
I think NAF is probably scum because abstaining the way he did is a pro-scum way to gain a level without having to account for your vote or participate at all.
I also base my evaluations of someone’s townieness on how engaged they seem in wanting to solve the game and how natural and free-flowing their thought process and insights seem. NAF has given us absolutely none of that.
NAF is probably scum.
I don’t think Guiri is an uber-townie at all.
Here’s what you sound like to me. “I’m not blaming Guiri for the Astral bandwagon. Only I totally am because everyone voted for Astral only 'cause Guiri said so.”
The hilarious part of this is that you know the only reason I voted Astral was because YOU, Visorslash and gnarlycharlie basically told me if I don’t join a bandwagon I’m not helping town, and I kind of see that, though it goes against the grain to vote someone I’m not at least 75% convinced is scummy, but I do see the pointlessness of going after fubbles while the rest of you have managed to convince everyone else he’s harmless.
Holy cow are you rewriting history or what? YOU voted Astral, then when you saw there were more votes on him, you were all “yay, that bandwagon’s safe, now I can vote for PetW.” Why were you so happy that there were more votes on Astral if you now don’t see him as scum?
Fuck this noise. You can’t even keep your storyline straight. Astral had better be guilty or I am coming after you like God’s own thunder next round.
To sum up my reads:
>rand to be scum
NAF1138
Suburban Plankton
gnarlycharlie
Visorslash
(and I’m very skeptical of Guiri; not sure one way or the other about PetW anymore)
>rand to be town
Silver Jan
septimus
Normal Phase
choie
Tanaer
(and I would like to trust Weedy but can’t quite do it yet)
I don’t know what to make of Astral. I distrust his wagon, and I feel his tone has been relatively townie, so I’m inclined to say he’s town. People should join me on a NAF or Suburban wagon, obviously.

Not gospel but it is what I have. by my tally choie would get the emerald ring, Normal would get the blue pendant, and there is a tie for the sapphire ring fubbles/LightFoot
People working with fubbleskag make my teeth itch.
Hey folks…yesterday found me busy with 1001 things, and today I’m doing my taxes…so I may or may not get a change to review the last couple hundred posts today, but I will have more to say before Dusk…
Why gnarlycharlie? Personally I wouldn’t be surprised at a Normal, gnarlycharlie, Visorslash trinity of scum, but that’s only because I resent them for putting me in a crappy position and I know that’s illogical. (Though I’m sooo moving Normal to my #1 spot if Astral flips Town. She started this thing, not Guiri, and she’s fomenting dissent against Guiri to cast blame off her own good self. Total scummy behavior.)
But what’s pinging you about gnarlycharlie?
You’re misreading me so badly, Choie; I just don’t get it. I am not in any way blaming Guiri. I am accusing those who came after him of voting only because Guiri had done so (whatever they actually said), because of Guiri’s reputation of knowing what he’s doing when it comes to scum-hunting.
All I want is productive bandwagons created for real reasons by people who are trying hard to find scum. That means, under the current circumstances (as of a few hours ago): examine the candidates for the lynch carefully and choose one or more who you wouldn’t mind seeing dead, then vote accordingly. Yet there has been almost no mention, and no votes, on anyone but Astral. You’d think many on or two of you all would have managed to place a vote on somebody else in there somewhere if you were all actually scumhunting. One or two of all of you might have found Weedy to be truly more scummy, or MHaye, or PetW, or whoever, and said as much. Even – and here’s the thing – even if they did ultimately decide to vote for Astral instead due to the extra-vote issue. You actually did do this, semantic arguments over whether voting for a believed third party is actually voting for someone who is scummy aside, but you’re the only one.
Look at all those votes, choie, the other three after Guiri and even the two before Guiri, and tell me which of them have actually done due diligence in scumhunting today.
Why are you still voting me, Suburban?
Bullshit, choie. No offense, but bullshit. Take a break and look at it again.
I answered this earlier. I haven’t seen any real reads from him; he seems to be in commentary mode. It doesn’t feel like he’s actually trying to figure out who the scum are.
You missed it; he claimed soldier during the night.
