I’ve gotta disagree here, Suburban Plankton. I don’t think there’s much point in having hp as a stat unless reducing it to zero is a real, and thus fatal, possiblity.
I gotta agree with this one. 0 seems like Dead is dead. It’s basically a built in Vig/SK/Extra Scum kill mechanism- which is why the power should not be bandied about lightly.

It’s entirely possible. But this is why I think it’s not the case.
True, it would be a “built in Vig/SK/Extra Scum kill mechanism”, and that’s my problem with it. Because to be slightly more precise, it would be a “Collective Vig/SK/Extra Scum Day/Night Kill mechanism”. And since it doesn’t appear that attackers’ identities are generally made public, there would be virtually no way to determine accountability for such kills.
On the other hand, Pizza did promise us “mass confusion”…and this certainly would fit the bill. And even if attacking another player can’t result in a “kill”, I’m pretty certain it can result in something “undesirable”, so it’s still something that shouldn’t be used lightly.
One other thing: as I recall D&D (it’s been a few years), you don’t *die *at 0HP, you’re only knocked unconscious. You die at -10 HP. Whether or not that mechanism has made its way here, who knows?
Rule clarification:
In the rules, “rounds” are referred to interchangeably as days, nights, or the entire day/night package. This is in error, particularly when referring to experience and character switches.
If you switch your role during the day, such that you become the new role by the start of night phase, that takes place instead of level up even if you qualify for a level up that round. You don’t level, because you’re not gaining a level as your current class.
If you wait until night to switch (as everyone has so far) then you will level during the day, and have your new role by the start of the next day.
If anything else related to “rounds” needs clarification, please PM me. The word “round” is not specific enough, it should be phase (for day, or night) or Day/Night cycle. That would be more precise.

As we’ve seen the Damage reports give us a general indication of the TYPE of attacks used (physical vs. Magical), as well as the amounts of damage they do.
We know already different classes/types do different types of damages and we can use that to track people. I got hit by 25 physical dmg. i can try to guess that I was probably attacked by a Soldier toDay. That can start to help eliminate things, and then there’s things like elements and damage reduction that can play into it. I think the attacks can be traceable.
2. I thought about that as well: the -10 thing in D&D, however, I don’t know if **AskthePIzzaGuy **is that into D&D to factor that part in… I’m sure we’ll eventually find out the answer soon enough. Especially if people keeping dinging me slowly each Day.
