I’ll recheck it once I’m done my thing over here.

I’ll recheck it once I’m done my thing over here.
If any game needed a co-host, it’d be this one.
I can help out once I’m dead, pizza.
(assuming I DO die. Phere’s been pretty ineffectual so far!)
I am denying that I have double voting ability. I don’t KNOW that the other one is Visorslash- but if it was a 50-50 choice (and not something like double votes don’t HAVE to be for the same target), I feel safe in assuming since I cannot double vote, the other guy must double vote if those are the only two options.
Since I know how much you seem to get hung up on the technical wording of things. ![]()
Slow and steady wins the race…
Phere’s been plenty effective. I just don’t happen to have a Demon summoned from the 9th Hell Dimension to assist me with keeping the tally straight and also calculate the results of your actions, while both Straight Dope and my internets provider are taking turns shitting on my face.
So you don’t deny not saying that **Visorslash **may or may not be a double-voter, to the best of your knowledge? ![]()
Assuming for course that you and **Normal **are being truthful, the only person left who could be a ‘double-voter’ would be Visorslash. But I don’t think that we can say for certain that the extra votes are the result of a ‘double-voter’. There may be a number of other ways for a ‘hidden vote’ to be placed.
One thing that occurs to me now: Someone may automatically place a hidden vote on the person who is the lynch candidate at EoD. The two outstanding hidden votes are on **Gadarene **on Day 1 and **Astral **on Day 2; both of them were the lynch candidates before the hidden votes were counted.
This I took as a clue
Most certainly, it is plausibly possible. ![]()
And +1 to Lightfoot. Good Job, Blue!
It’s a reference to the tie-breaker mechanism.
Given a known scum triple-voter, given that anyone with an extra vote is going to be given extra scrutiny, and given that the nature of a double vote is that it can’t be hidden for long even if the person wanted to? I would consider it greater than random that neither of us is scum. That’s different from us both being town, but I don’t think it’s precluded.
One thing I would like to know is whether our roles are the same; and whether our role or roles are accessible by someone starting at “vanilla”. I don’t have the information yet to answer any of that.

*Can’t you see I’m easily bothered by persistance
One step from lashing out at you…
You want in to get under my skin
And call yourself a friend
I’ve got more friends like you
What do I do?
Is there no standard anymore?
What it takes, who I am, where I’ve been
Belong
You can’t be something you’re not
Be yourself, by yourself
Stay away from me
A lesson learned in life
Known from the dawn of time
Re-spect, Walk, what did you say?
Re-spect, Walk, are you talking to me?
Are you talking to me??
Run your mouth when I’m not around
It’s easy to achieve
You cry to weak friends that sympathize
Can you hear the violins playing your song?
Those same friends tell me your every word
Is there no standard anymore?
What it takes, who I am, where I’ve been
Belong
You can’t be something you’re not
Be yourself, by yourself

**Lord Phere **had gone to great lengths to keep them all where they stood, separating them all from the rest of the universe.
*The Adventurers wasted little time charging into action. The Demonic creature did not appear the slightest bit concerned.
*
**Normal Phase **looked up into the sky and noticed that **something **was heading in her direction. Reacting quickly, she shielded herself, deflecting the blow.
Normal Phase takes no damage.
**fubbleskag **did not even see the attack coming. Fortunately for him, someone else did.
*
“I’ve got your back, fubbleskag!” *shouted Normal Phase.
A glittering **bolt of energy **struck home, and **vanished **in a flash of brilliant light. Normal Phase looked at herself, and saw that nothing happened.
“…Yay.”
Normal Phase was both grateful and puzzled.
Normal Phase takes no damage.

Visorslash takes 150hp damage.***
**Choie **was too close to the action, and failed to see the weapon swinging in her direction.
*“Oh bloody hell!”
“Nevermind that, Choie! I’ll protect you!” shouted GuiriEnEspana.
*
The blow struck home, leaving a devastating wound on Guiri.
*“I’ll… uh… I’ll just be on the ground bleeding, I guess… don’t mind me.”
GuiriEnEspana takes 80hp damage.

**ToeJam **didn’t see the **attack **coming. In fact, he barely noticed it had happened at all.
*
“Who’s there? Someone want my attention? Speak up, it’s only polite!” *he laughed.

“NOW IS THE TIME FOR YOU TO MAKE YOUR PEACE WITH THE GODS, FOOLISH MORTALS…”
The Adventurers had slain the summoned hell creatures, and now faced the Demon Lord himself. Many of them answered the call to arms, and charged in. Others stood at a safe distances, watching their comrades in action.
A magical bolt of energy **struck the Demon Lord in the chestplate, barely penetrating the armor.

Lord Phere takes 25hp damage.

Astral Rejection** turns and faces the Demon Lord alone.
“Demon Lord! I am Astral Rejection! You have slain your last, for I, Astral Rejection, will send you to your doom!”
The Demon Lord advances on Astral Rejection, saying nothing.
“Repent for all that you have done! Begone from this realm! Go back from whence you came, and show your face here no longer! So sayeth I, Astral Rejection!”
The Demon Lord stands before Astral Rejection, pausing momentarily.
“…Right! You should hesitate, for I, Astral Rejection, am no mere mudpuppy. I have twice the strength of any ordinary man! I, Astral Rejection, am skilled in both the ways of combat, and of romance! I, Astral Rejection…
THINK FAST!!!”
**Astral Rejection **aims and fires his **weapon **quickly, scampering away while making a Zoidbergian woop woop woop sound.
“WOOP WOOP WOOP WOOP WOOP!!!”
The arrow deflects harmlessly off of Lord Phere. Astral Rejection doesn’t even make it out of sweating distance of the creature before he’s turned into an impact crater.

Astral Rejection was slain by Lord Phere.**
The Aftermath:
Upon inspection of his remains, they noticed that** Astral Rejection **seemed to be dressed like an ordinary Archer, and there was nothing sinister about him. Reluctantly, they were forced to conclude that a Good Adventurer was slain.

RIP, Astral. I appreciate your effort toDay.
Can I be a slight to moderate town lean, just for old times’ sake?
Pizza, I’ll repeat my offer to help count votes and such for you if you’d like.
And with that, my posts in this thread will conclude.
Farewell Astral.
So, Visorslash, who did you target, Lord Phere or Choie?
Okay so I have read through the thread now, coming to no conclusive answer to either the question of who is town or who is scum. Mind you that I am a bad mafia player, I’ll get a lot (most) things wrong.
I believe Normal Phase to be town, but could use some pressure on the next vote.
I find that Visorslash is pretty fishy, he could be third party or town, I don’t know yet.
The rest I am pretty much in the dark about.
Ave Atque Vale, Astral. You were railroaded by certain parties and your stirring death speech will not be in vain. Attention will be paid.
Meanwhile, wow, thank you, good sir GuiriEnEspana. Your gallantry is much appreciated. Also, that really is a fuckton of attention on Visorslash toDay. Not surprising, he’s basically made himself a target. Who attacked him? And who on earth healed him?
I think he’s damned lucky that someone chose to save him. That is, two someones.
Wouldn’t have thought he’d rate such charity but, hey. As long as he turns out to be Town, I’m grateful for those who helped him out. Saving a Townsperson is definitely an act of Good… though now that I think about it, could it have been a cover for more nefarious actions?
Maybe. Either way, I sure hope Visorslash earns that goodwill.
Well, he did generate a bit of controversy on Day 1. So I imagine people wondering “what exactly happens if I attack another player” thought he was a good target last Night. Then this past Day it was probably a mixture of “what happens if we do enough damage to reduce someone to 0 HP?” and “Hey, here’s a chance for me to exercise my healing skills!”
It may be that attacking another player tends to shift one’s alignment toward Evil. Or possibly attacking a Town player shifts one towards evil, but attacking a Scum player shifts one towards Good. And possibly the opposite effect applies to healing. It may also be that some folks’ powers become stronger the more they are used.
In any case, it seems by virtue of his somewhat abrasive nature on Day 1, **Visorslash **has become the defacto target for actions that may or may not affect one’s alignment and/or abilities.
For the record, I doubt that we can ‘kill’ another player by reducing him to 0 HP…but I’ll bet that will have some other impact (perhaps removing their ability to vote, or their ability to take any Actions).
