How much do Astral and Mosier enjoy playing Town over Scum? Do we have 2 confirmed Townies now?
No. Neither one was killed by Lord Phere originally, and Mosier was actually brought back by him. It must have been for a reason, if only to sow chaos. It appears to have taken up one of the scum’s two night kills – you don’t give that up for nothing. But it could also be that Mosier was scum originally despite being good alignment; or I suppose even that he was offered resurrection as scum after death and accepted.
Astral’s in a better position having at least been resurrected by non-scum, but please whoever did this, don’t repeat it on a lynched player. Lord Phere-created deaths only please, ok?
I hate resurrections so much, even when they don’t both have reason to hate my guts.
The colour seems different for Astral and Mosier too. Mosier seems to have been explicitly raised by Lord Phere whereas Astral was raised from inside the fortification.
Right.
Your post wasn’t there when I posted, I thought I was being fabulously insightful ![]()

Does the “good” in the death reveals refer to town/scum alignment or to “moral” alignment **
so Astral and Mosier are back in the game? although use of powers aren’t necessary to win, they sure may things more complicated.
My role PM has “town” in one category and “good” in a different one. Little bit of raised eyebrows right there, scathach, just saying.
Zombie Astral, checking in. I look forward to being lynched for this thoroughly calculated return post & joke combo.
All kidding aside, I was resurrected by a mysterious glow. I was not offered a chance to change teams; I remain town-aligned. I have only half of my hit points, so if someone is feeling generous, I could use a heal. I’m not 100% on the order of operations, though: I could theoretically be killed before a heal hits me, if someone really wants me dead. If so, oh well.
One other fun fact: I still got my level for voting, despite dying. I might see that Beastmaster role yet!
I’ll see you guys after work, although as usual I’ll be trying to follow on my phone. If you have any questions for me, I’ll get back to you pretty quick.
This is more to do with me than with you, Astral, but did you ever post the list of options going up from plain old soldier?
Oh, and let’s get this party started:
Vote Normal Phase.
That felt good.
But why would we find out the moral alignment if we’ve been explicitly told that it doesn’t have an effect on town/scum alignment. I just want to know if good in this context is a synonym for town.
I never did, on the off chance scum don’t have access to it. They likely do, but I didn’t see a pressing need when I claimed.
I’d like to see your character details in particular, Normal. If you feel like it, could you PM me your capabilities and class info?
Moral alignment.
… well that kinda sucks. You guys don’t actually know if I’m town, then. Or if anybody we’ve killed is town.
I assume there’s one or more power roles out there, figuring this stuff out. Hopefully they’re breadcrumbing in case they die.
Humph. This has become essentially a no-reveal game then ![]()
No reveal games make me sad and frustrated. The fundamental nature of Mafia is that there is an initial informational asymmetry in favor of scum, and an initial numerical asymmetry in favor of town, but that as players die and their information is revealed, both asymmetries progressively equalize. In other words, Town gets screwed if it doesn’t know more than it started with a few Days down the line.
Can those of you who have successfully and unfrustratingly played with no-reveal games in the past please tell me the optimal Town strategy, beyond shooting blindly at suspicious people?
