I see some merit in the case on ** Bob ** but will do my own research .
in order to change/ upgrade some players have to become neutral ( or good). if ** Bob ** started out chaotic (or neutral) the ’ good deed’ protecting ** Glee ** might have been a step in that direction.
It says nothing to me about alignment
The returning from the grave bits are tossing spanners in my spokes.
** mosier ** have you any knowledge if you can be healed? ( un- zombied)
I ask because maybe one of these items that some have could ‘heal’ you.
That said, would you even want to be healed? Ie your new character may be better/ more fun/something else than your previous one and you would rather not be healed?
So far everyone that has died is “ good” but that does not tell us if they were Town or Scum. And NOW we have players brought back to life. There is no way of knowing if they are still ‘good’ ( but that doesn’t matter anyway)
This puzzle has so many pieces missing that I’m looking under the table for one with a red dot.
That’s actually a good point which I hadn’t considered. I can’t search right now because Tapatalk isn’t great for that. Did he give reasoning?
Could be looking for credit, could be protecting a scumbuddy or could of course be innocent town. I don’t think it says anything very definite about his alignment. I’ll search his posts again when I get a chance.
His was the attack on me at the end of day two, when he was lynched. I look up to the sky and shield myself from it, taking no damage. He tried to perforate me with an arrow, presumably.
So I’ve been out of commission for a while over here - there’s a pile of stupid reasons, but listing them would just bore everyone. I don’t even know if I’m actually still alive in this game. If I have not been modkilled or otherwise disposed of, though, I intend to catch up and participate beginning relatively immediately.
Apologies to everyone, and especially to pizzaguy, for vanishing. As I said to him, it was one of those things where every day I thought: “today will be the day that I’ll finally catch up.” And then it wasn’t.
With having players resurrected I am nearly at D1 one again in my head,** Astral** has just pissed me off and the only reason he even has a slight case against me is 'cos he knew I was wrong when I voted for him in the first place, what a huge OMGUS vote, not happy there.
Reality was on my scumdar but he protected glee and that’s putting me off a bit (lot)
Nice to see you** Story** I hope you come up with some decent insights.
I thought Choie was pretty harsh on** Weedy** but then I have had a tongue lashing from** Choie** too and she can hurt (I hope she doesn’t mean to).
Mosiers comeback is very strange, I hope he can be helped.
I really don’t want to give pendants and stuff to people just because they have a sob story, I want to give them to people that I have a strong Townie feel for and yes, that does include me.
I have skimmed, at a running gallop, everything that’s happened so far. I’ll obviously need to re-read much more slowly and carefully before I can contribute anything especially useful. In the meanwhile, though, if some kind soul wants to help me with some clarifications, I request two:
Have we been told what the pendants actually do? We may have, but I seem to have missed it.
Am I correct in understanding that, for all intents and purposes, we collectively know nothing at all with certainty? No moderator reveals of game alignment (Town/Scum/Other) whatsoever?
Wow, and yikes.
Meanwhile, I don’t want to be modkilled, and I know I am in imminent danger of that happening. Therefore:
OOG: I’m sorry, Weedy and Visorslash and basically everyone I’ve behaved badly to. As I’ve mentioned before I’m kind of in an angry/emotional “place” now, made worse over this past weekend. (Link just added for explanation, not an excuse.) So I did feel attacked and overreacted, and I’m always a fairly passionate player anyway, since I like getting into the role playing aspects of things. So adding the real life issues into the mix along with my feeling attacked was a recipe for disaster. Anyway I’m sorry again. I may need to step back a little bit from the game stuff for a few days while I get my head together. On the other hand, it’s a good distraction. But if I do get bitchy again, please try to take it as a manifestation of my real life screwed-up-ness, not any real animus toward whoever’s the unfortunate recipient of my bitchiness. /OOG
Welcome back storyteller. I don’t envy you catching up on this game, that’s for sure. As LightFoot said, we’re flying blind as far as Town/Scum/Third Party alignments are concerned, even with the undead / resurrected players. Though I personally tend to believe that blue = Town, just out of SDMB convention, and the fact that Lord Phere seems to lurve him some red.
(Also note that votes should be in blue, and unvotes in red. And it will be a big help in tallying if you actually say who you’re unvoting, rather than just going “unvote.” I know you did that, it’s just a hopeful reminder to everyone, btw, just from someone who’s tried to do the tallies before.)
I had a discussion with one of the other players recently and I mentioned that there were too many cases floating around. IMO people can just hide in one of the small wagons or make up their own with little to no point to it, and it will be hard to see any difference.
I picked the best case I could see and I jumped on it. Mind you that this Day (since I couldn’t post earlier) is like the first Day was to you others. I am completely fresh from the locker room and I have barely got on the field yet. Not to mention that I am not familiar with any (almost) of the players here, so I cannot meta-game the first Day either.
This leaves me with three options;
Make up my own case against someone.
This might be hard because of the reasons I listed above and the amount of time I’d have to devote to that one case, which would probably be faulty anyways.
Jump on a case that I can research but someone else has done most of the work on.
This is easier and the one I prefered at the time. It makes it simple and easy to compare the different cases out there so I can pick the best one.
Neither/joke vote.
I don’t feel that voting should be taken lightly, nor am I prepared to lurk or last minute vote.
Choie, I don’t think you need to apologise but I for one am not a published author and if my grammar is incorrect, tough shit! I tend to write my posts as I feel and don’t examine them too closely, probably why I get killed often. This is my distraction now and I know my whole head isn’t into it but I have such a cool role! I want to play.
You’ve touched on the fact before that this was the first Day that you could post. But Pizza informed us that you’d subbed in at the beginning of Day 2…so it would seem that you should have been able to post from that point.
What took you an entire game Day? You said something earlier about being unfamiliar with the system; does that mean that it was *possible *for you to vote, but you were unable due to some technical issues?
Or was there some game-related reason that forced you to remain silent?
FWIW I actually took it simply that s/he wasn’t available to join in due to RL issues. I didn’t even consider an in-game reason. Which may say more about me than Believerer.
Silver Jan, I hope I didn’t correct your grammar or insult it somewhere. Even pro authors need editors (thank heavens, as that’s a sideline too).
