I honestly don’t remember anyone backing me on SNF. I have to re-read it. And maybe now it’s time to re-read SNF’s participation and see if the case we had before still holds up.
Concerning the slip: it’s only remotely a freudian slip. I shouldn’t have used that term. What I meant to say is that during these games very often scum will feebly disparage a lynch which they know to be of townsfolk, and that Boozy did that in the post I quoted.
On re-read of the events as they unfolded: the reason (back then) that I desisted on trying to get SNF lynched was the whole Crys/third party brouhaha. I still believe that we should have clarified that deal before we let them be but I realize that on that issue I REALLY am a minority, and a very unpopular one at that.
I have been wondering about snfaulkner for a few (small d) days. I figure it is mostly due to the smaller cozier, fluffier games I usually play on GB. I am not ready to vote for anyone, but SNF does seem a bit different than he usually does.
Yeah, you could read it that way. Or you could read it as someone seeing what a weak case, even for a day one lynch, that was.
You know, this entire game is just packed full of people who somehow are tossing out votes the weakest of smears based on desperate hopes. Tons of walls of words are being posted that are then completely ignored. Perhaps it’s just rosy memories of the past, but I remember these games as being an exercise in analysis. This game is just watching a bunch of chickens running around killing each other, while the foxes lie low and cackle. Or whatever noise foxes make. Yip. Yeah, they’re yipping. Happily.
Number one town-tell in this game is getting strung up.
I disagree. First blood has been spilled. Wolves need to even the score and mafia will want to retain their lead. If a wolf kill or a lynch takes out a mafia, they are going to want to take out a wolf. As long as they are hunting each other, it would behoove town to try to strike a balance that maintains their bloodlust for each other. Right now, all mafia has to do to win is keep killing whomever they want. Wolves now need to kill 3 mafia in addition to the overall population goal. Don’t you think that demands that they change strategies? And if they are, then shouldn’t town?
I’m still bday drunk and not exactly 100 up to date since yesterday. Bur are you suggesting that wolves will now be possibly be voting in a more concentrated fashion to push a lynch of whom they think is mafia? Because I can see that. While mafia votes will be all over the place, still trying to hide.
I agree with the idea that an additional team of five with the ability to kill would be really unfair to Town. But… I have had something rattling around in my skull.
Cult leaders tend to be bad guys, right? So would a Cult Leader who is also a SK be beyond the pale? IE One member of the Cult is a SK, and thus kills, but the rest of them are trying to survive?
Feel free to mock me but again, it’s been rattling around in my head.
What on earth makes you think that the wolves haven’t been hunting mafia from the get go? If they could lead a lynch on a mafia, it would increase their town cred. Plus a dead body is just a dead body to them. I don’t see any change in their strategy.
I haven’t had any issues with SNF’S participation. He’s seemed pretty active and fluff aside he does comment on cases, strategy thoughts, potential ways town can gain an edge, the cultists, 2nd lynch, etc… I don’t recall any wow analysis, though. If that’s your issue with him, I think there are players with worse participation. But it would be interesting to see a wow on SNF, if nothing else to reaffirm my thoughts on him.
