Mafia Reunion Day 4

It’s bad because we have to lynch them all. Maybe I’m missing a case, but in any situation where it matters what flavor of Scum we lynch, Town will no longer be a majority of players. So Scum will control the lynch at that point, even if they haven’t won yet. That is, we will have lost, even if the game is not ended. I don’t fancy picking winners between the two factions.

While there’s nothing inherently wrong with discussing end game scenarios, we’d do better by lynching any Scum at all rather than discerning if they’re the better flavor.

Day’s not ending early. I just multiplied 24 by 3 and came up with 48. So that’s what you’re dealing with here, folks.

I feel weird to me too.

After the whole meltdown with Idle, i haven’t been feeling the game as much, I guess. I have to go to work now, but I will be screwing my courage to the sticking point and doing some (hopefully better) scum hunting when i am done with earning my daily dollars.

I’m not happy with my voting record, and I want to be an asset to Town. I will vote later tonight.

Okay. But what do you think it means?

I can. And no, that would be silly.

Too much FOS, not enough voting. It’s been a long time since I’ve played as scum, but I do recall not wanting to commit to voting. I always wanted the luxury of knowing which way the wind was blowing before putting down a vote. On paper, it seems easy for scum to move votes around to effect the result they want, but in reality, if my memory is correct, moving votes felt very difficult.

I’m sorry that the peasants bother you so. :dubious:

Is that true? It could be true, I’m not sure, but my impression is more in line with Johnny Bravo’s.

Ok, quick count and I see 37 players posted with 39 alive. So two missing.

Don’t worry, you bother me as well, sweetheart. The peasants just need to be reminded of it more often.

Garlic smelling was intended to be representative of the mafia. The full body wax, the wolves. Is there a stereotype of Sicilians as a particularly hairy people?

If you had been night killed you wouldn’t have been able to post at all, so it would have made sense to post at Night before the possibility of you getting killed. You could have reposted toDay in order to have the post in the current thread, but you waited, showing that you didn’t have any concern that you would be killed and your thoughts would go unheard. Your response doesn’t address this logic.

I’m not protecting him, I’m questioning you for your line of questioning and where it leads. How does your line of questioning have any effect on revealing his alignment if he isn’t 3P?

What makes you think the town has more info on switches? To know this, you would have to know how much info the scum have on switches. And even then it doesn’t make sense. Any one town might have info on switches, but it would be impossible to share that info with the rest of town without sharing it with scum. Scum can share their info with each other.

It wasn’t a ruse, I wanted more info on you… I sped up the process. If you had been completely honest and had something to say after spending 3 hours on the request, I would be still be defending you. Having found nothing is an easy cover for not having to take a stance, and combined with the missing game info, and the rest of the reasons you have been found suspicious, I am left with only Angel’s gut to defend you with. It’s not enough. If you are town, I’m sorry but there is way more pointing to you being scum than you being town.

As for what I found in the D1 info you provided, it strengthened some leans for me, but no smoking gun. I have a have formed analysis on my computer, but haven’t had enough off time to keep up with the current thread and finish up that analysis.

Sorry - to clarify, I meant you would then confirm the next claimant, if need be. Not that you would cross confirm Crys.

If the **LUTHA **have the ability to kill would that not make them a third scum team? That would seem to pretty damn unfair to town.

Errr… just to be clear, are we dealing with you changing the fundamentals of mathematics to ensure yourself no modwork on Sunday, or are we dealing with a brainfart?

I don’t see much difference between a SK and a team with a kill (esp. if they don’t know each other and can’t communicate privately). I’m not sure why everyone is so insistent that the killer can’t be LUTHA.

What the heck does this mean?

So, I don’t have much time over the weekend, so I will vote now, and hopefully have time to review if things change.

Vote DiggitCamera

Re-reading the WOWs on you, your posting has consisted of fluff, focus on third parties, seeming attempts to draw out switch information, and constantly mentioning wolves.

Mafia?

It isn’t that town would necessarily have more information than scum. Rather that town has information that scum doesn’t know. So if Boozy was a scum and wanted to learn more about switches, talking to other scum exclusively would not give him as much information as involving town/other entities. Town isn’t going to reveal all information they know on switches, but they did reveal some and that would help a scum get a fuller picture.

Hi all - I’m coming out of the haze of being sick for much of the week, and have mainly read everything here on Day 4.

My general thoughts -

 • nice to see a couple dead wolfs appear at the end of Day 3 - some unexpected good news for once in this game. Too bad about Idle, but by the end it was pretty much unavoidable.

 • Good (I suppose) to see ToeJam confirmed as the Doc, though bad to be down another power role.

 • I agree with those who believe that the LUTHAs are not a priority for town right now - they appear to be harmless. It seems likely that if there’s a SK, he/she is probably independent of the LUTHAs. This makes the SK more of a threat though…

I see several people defending Prof P. still, or at least being willing to back off a bit with him (paul giving him more rope…). I still have the same suspicions that I did from Day 3, and earlier. Even before subbing in, and just reading along with the game, I thought Prof seemed off somehow. Nothing has changed for me on that front.

I need to spend some time understanding the case on Boozahol, who has a comfortable lead in votes right now - and also understand the case on DiggitCamara, who’s approximately tied with Prof for 2nd place.

I will ponder a little more before tossing up a vote. I’ll put my vote back on Prof P if I don’t see something more worthwhile after reviewing Boozahol and Diggit. I’ll definitely have a vote up before the End of Day though.

This is a good point, if one scum team owns multiple switches, they’ll immediately compare notes and all have a better understanding. It’s probably fair to assume that both scum teams have discussed the implications of all the switches they own, and just need to fill in the blanks as best they can about the town switches.

Evening all.

Apologies for the silence so far Today. I had some news, possibly bad. last Monday.

RL spoiler
My kidneys may be showing signs of failure.

Alternatively, I may not have drunk enough water before blood was drawn.

You can guess which one I want it to be, and which one kept me up into the early morning three nights in a row this week. No prizes guessing which is which.

Retest is next Friday.
I’m going to reread so I can place an informed vote. (Ha!) I should have some time as it’s 46 hours to Dusk (unless the mods have moved Nightfall, in which case a link would be appreciated.)
