Hitman/Outrider – kills anyone protecting the player targeted (without blocking the protection)

Hitman (mafia) is a Night power, and Outrider(wolf) is a Day power.

So they ( mafia and wolves) potentially both have a Day and a Night kill

thanks SNF I have it bookmarked on my home computer now

At my local sluethjuice slinger and I’m thinking that I’m still a bit confused about the switches. I was confused by them in HOH2 at first, but I was able to figure it out because it was THE gimmick in that game that thar made it different and was thoroughly discussed in the rules. Now, though, it is barely even mentioned, except for those three powers’ pm’s. Does anybody have any insights? Is it mentioned elsewhere that I missed?

*starts rereading everything rules related

This reminds me of a game I was in where I was scum and one of my teammates got caught out, I forget how. Detective? Slip? Whatever. Said person, who I cannot remember it was, started spamming the game thread with nonsense. It was vaguely entertaining to me at the time, though highly disruptive and rather unsporting. Anyone recall that?

In the other HOH2 game, the SK and the Scum controlled the switches. They could turn on/off a Town power role, but neither knew what the other was doing. So it was just mostly luck whether a Town power role went through or not at least until one of those players controlling the on/off switches died.

Yeah, but in this one, it isn’t specified whose power is switched or by whom (except for tinkerer/omega/consiglierieieseies, who only swith them all)

So, since it isn’t explicitly mentioned in the open PM’s, are we to assume only the double secret 3rd party bastards have the specific switching powers?

Somehow I don’t think assuming is a good strategy for this game.

And speaking of HOH2 and serial killers, huge side/stank eye at Dante G.

Ok, maybe “assume” was the wrong word. How about “Is it likely that the 3rd party controls the specific switching”?

Isn’t “somehow” someone else’s assume? :dubious:

On the off chance this want me (Peeker?) … Let me know once you find out.

NETA: Wasnt.

Without looking it up, I’d bet actual money (like, $5) that it was Idle Thoughts. Dude’s histrionics are the stuff of legend and instalynch.

Switches in the pm’s;

The wolves and mafia can both reset switches off. The town basement dweller can reset the switches back on unless he acts on the same night the mafia switcher acts and the mafia order rules. Therefore setting switches off is anti-town.

I think, hah, that the scum off switch option means towns powers are dead for the day/night when the scum team invokes the switch. It can’t be a forever switch because that would bork the game. But I can’t figure out how the town on switch works. It can’t change the Mafia off-switch so how does basement boy know when to use it?

Or maybe the off-switch turns off all powers for the Day or Night. Gah.

I’ll take that bet. I think it was Hal or maybe SpecialEd
